One of the best Axial Ryft videos ever!! You made me want to finally go spend my money and get one!! Not a vehicle for everyone and it has its pluses and minuses- be prepared to upgrade weak plastic parts... can't wait to see what motor/ esc you end up with...like your idea of crawler capabilities and Rock Bouncer Basher...keep up the great videos 🤙
@PatSmage Жыл бұрын
Thanks! I appreciate that. I have seen quite a few people dislike this rig, but I think they are just expecting it to be another normal basher or crawler and not driving it how it's meant to be. It's so fun in it's element! But like most rigs it does take some tuning/upgrades to get it where you want. I have made some more changes that I really like, might be time for another video!

Super nice action. The Ryft sure takes a beating. Great video! 👍🏁

Thanks for checking it out! They are definitely a lot of fun and take a beating on what they are designed for. I actually started a separate RC channel and have newer Ryft action there if you want to check out PSF RC: kzbin.info/www/bejne/poC7kI2OhrmMrLssi=cl3206ZgeJ7c9hLU

I think you of all people would really love the motor I run in my ryft!!!! I’m running mambax paired to a tekin t8 2250kv gen2 it has great low speed runs cool very efficient and most of all has crazy screaming power I can only imagine what kind of trials /bouncer lines and hops you will be able to do with this setup!!! Your a beast man I really enjoy watching your videos!!!! Killer driving 💪💪💪🔥🔥🔥🔥
@PatSmage2 жыл бұрын
Nice, what battery are you running with that? I figured the t8 might be a tight fit but maybe it's worth the squeeze. Thanks! Glad you dig the lines I like to drive. I try to drive it like a trials bike and it seems pretty fitting for that. So much fun!

@@PatSmage I run a 5200 4s it’s a tight fit little bit of shaving on the skid but I did it and man I think you would be able to bunny hop like a mad man are you on instagram? I’m old dad sports rc on there !!! Lots of videos of my monster!!

Thanks! Love that style of driving, it’s so fun when it goes right. And exciting when it goes wrong, haha.

Your are blessed with a wife who is also into al the stuff you are man. Her laugh in the background while both cars fly in the air and almost crash on each other says it all. Sounds like a perfect match. Enjoy! Cheers from the Netherlands.

Yep I am definitely lucky there! She thought RC was a waste of time until I had her try it. Can't deny the laughs of joy so I had to leave it in there! Glad you noticed.

What motor did you end up going with? I'm getting a 1415 castle and Mamba x system but I have a bomber and Exo terar that I'm building as rock bouncers and I was looking at other options other than Castle

Where can I buy the servo saver link? Ali Express?On eBay?
@PatSmage Жыл бұрын
They are out of stock at freestyle rc and unfortunately I'm pretty sure I heard they were closing down so I don't where to find them now. freestyle-rc.com/products/servo-saver?variant=30893759758399

This is some of my favorite content you put out, these rigs take rcing to another level when you operate them with a trials mindset. I’ve been bringing mine on just about every ride!
@PatSmage2 жыл бұрын
Heck yeah glad you like it! They are definitely a lot more fun when you have trials eyes, and even better when you can do both in a day.

Sick video, question, since this, what motor, if at all, did you switch to vs hw3200 kv

I have been running a Holmes 2700 on 3s. It was still a bit too much until I put the 2 speed in.

Hey buddy your charger may have the safety cutoff set at 5000mah. It happened to me so maybe? Great Vid!

That’s a good call but that wasn’t the case this time. Those batteries ended up dropping a cell so I had to get some different ones anyway. I started a separate channel called PSF RC since this one has been mostly about bikes. I already have a bunch of RC videos there that I haven’t put here, including more with the Ryft, if you want to check that out: youtube.com/@PSF_RC-Pat_Smage_Films?si=hDM_utOheWF-L7bL

@GuyonaMoose2 жыл бұрын
Excellent overview new sub here. Ryft is my most favourite rc in a long time. I’ve done the same upgrade path pretty much. Keep some breaking points but beef where needed. I’m running castle 1415 2400kv mamba x 4s 5200mah I get lots of run time probably 40ish mins. Great for trails and sending it.
@PatSmage2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Yeah it is becoming one of my favorites also, lots of fun. The second one I bought came with that 2400 castle motor and it does get much better runtime but is a hair slower than I’d like on 3s. 4s is probably the answer, might have to give it a go even though I have a bunch of 3s and no 4s at the moment.

Just came across this. Very cool video production, nicely done. Man, that is a killer location for the RYFT.

Thank you! They run full size rock bouncers there so it’s really fitting for the Ryft. I have made a few more changes to the rig so it might be about time for an updated video.

I actually went again last week but it was really last minute. I was hoping to go back this week but the weather isn’t so sweet at the moment. Would be fun to crawl with someone out there sometime, it’s such a good spot.
