It is important to validate the molds in your body before cutting the foam because it can validate the sizes and joints of all the molds, because after cutting the molds in foam it is more difficult or impossible to adjust the pieces. I recommend doing this task. It is easy to adjust the parts to your body following the adjustment instructions. Remember that although the templates are for an adult, not all of our bodies are the same. It will only take a moment to temporarily join the molds to test them on your body and you will have a better finish of the armor. Thank you, It is very entertaining to create and also get personal satisfaction of being able to make a quality Stormtrooper foam armor. I cannot say it will be easy and you will do it fast, but I can say that with constancy and dedication you will achieve your creation. Just make the decision, get the basic materials and follow the guides and instructions that I provide in the templates, video and files. Between 50 to 80 hours dedicated in the construction depending also on the experience that each one has to work with the foam. At this total time, must be added set-up times (Fix joints with DAP Kwik Seal Plus to fill some joints), painting time (I recommend Plasti Dip 4 hands), strapping time (velcro), etc. Also if you make the accessories will need more time. Hi, EVA foam materials are closed cell foam structure. They have lots of excellent performances including good water & moisture resistance, excellent cushioning & shock absorption, strong heat insulation and specially long term durability. They are quite frequently used by various industries so that we can find out it in many places and products, such as shoe insole, soft foam mats, foam packaging, yoga block, swimming kickboard, floor underlay, custom EVA foam components and so on. It is really durable like all oil derivatives. The plastic armor is also durable but does not absorb shocks and can break and scratch, it is also heavier, uncomfortable and expensive than the foam. With the foam armor you can move and run more easily, sit, twist the foam and it won't break. The only problem with foam is shocks with sharp or pointing elements that can tear or cut the foam, although it can always be fixed with contact cement, plastic cream or foam clay and repainting. Unfortunately the eva foam material is not approved by the 501st Legion, they are only allowed these types of materials or like materials: White fiberglass, ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene), HIPS (High Impact Polystyrene), or Polyvinyl chloride (PVC).
