Doesn't take much equipment to get going. Roll crimp tool, hand drill, scale, wads, primers, shot, hulls...

Wade, BPI makes a universal primer pocket conditioner to make a primer pocket back to fit a US made primer. I think it is like $20. Mike

I've been working on buck loads for a few years, most of em yours, but still don't have anything close to your 65 yard results, even with the Buck's choke. Got some solid 20 ga Buck loads though out to 50 yards. Next step, need to harden 00 Buck pellets,. Love the videos
@BubbaRountreeOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
Hey Paul... Yeah, the pellets need to be just as hard as you can get em! Softer lead pellets just won't hold together at extended ranges.

Wade. Have you ever had a primer go off while seating it in a hull. And how dangerous is it.
@barricksspecial2 жыл бұрын
I've never had one go off... I'm sure wade has done wayyyy more hulls then me though!! I just wear safety glasses and go slow when seating the primers
@ThatPNWGuy20242 жыл бұрын
Loaded tens of thousands. Never had one go off. Have had a small pistol primer go off though. As long as your wearing safety glasses you’re all good.
@BubbaRountreeOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
I've never had 1 go off while seating! Primers are hard to set off...
@paulrodriguez39822 жыл бұрын
Same as other responses, never. The possibility exists WHEN de priming a live primer due to a blooper or other mistake to recycle the components. I did it once on a WSR primer. Go slow and easy after that, no issues at all since then.

These videos are great, I really appreciate them! I was wondering if longshot can be used for sporting clay and what number bushing could I use?

Is there an advantage to roll crimping versus star crimping or vice versa
@BubbaRountreeOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
The only advantage, IMHO is that you have a little more space in the round and there's no hull dimpling in the rolled rounds!

What’s the best choke for a 12gauge to be good to shoot slugs ?
@BubbaRountreeOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
The best smooth bore choke would be an Improved Cylinder. I have also shot thru a rifled choke with excellent results!

My problem is finding primers. It's like looking for toilet paper during a pandemic.
