That's a norm in public transportation. Not a problem in buses, trains, trams, trolleys, etc. and so not a problem in a robotaxi whatsoever.

Quietness is great but this prototype doesn't seem designed with safety in mind, which should be the top priority. The way it looks currently neither gives the car much of a crumple zone nor is it aerodynamically smart. What's the point of reinventing the wheel, to anyone with a basic understanding of physics this looks like a dumb car instead of a smart one. And the interior is even worse. In case of customers who don't wear seatbelts - which we know some won't because people are dumb - their bodies are going to crash right into each other during an accident. No airbag or anything in between.

Great points, but he did say that it would be a fully homologated vehicle... wouldn't all of the safety concerns be answered there?
@dn1927-b7c Жыл бұрын
@@CM-nd7mx yes it means it will be as safe as any other homologated car. There're videos of Zoox crash tests, also pretty sure it's interlocked with the safety belt. Click it or it won't go.

i think other video showed uniquely designed airbags are available to protect all passengers

Some people actually like driving. Maybe AI should replace the entire work force and call it a day. So no more family vacations, or driving cross country if you feel like it, etc. What happens if there's an emergency? You wait for one of these cars to take you out of town? Some people like the benefit of having their own car, In my family we've owned over 100 vehicles, and at any given point over 7 cars plus at a time in my immediate family of about 10 adults that can drive. NONE of us ever drove overly drunk, endanger the lives of anyone, or drove so irresponsible as to put others lives in danger.....and that goes for most American families. Just because you have jackasses driving drunk, that doesn't mean ALL ddrivers drive drunk. People do bad crimes with guns and knives everyday, does that mean ALL guns and knives should be outlawed? No because most legal guns owners are responsible and everyone use knives to cook. So how does it make sense to get rid of these items? Well the same can be said for a car man
