It was 3 years of my life spent in Kannur, Kerala for a job. My first job. A very un-fulfilling job. A frustrating job. Coming from a different state, it was very difficult to deal with social isolation at the age of 24. On top of that, a frustrating job, distance from family, and being perpetually broke. Now that i look back, i only remember the good things. The peaceful bicycle rides on the beach of payyambalam. Walks in the empty streets. The greenery, and fresh air. Good food. And this song. I discovered it at that time and whenever i listen to it now, it takes me back to those days. They weren't the best times of my life, but they weren't the worst either. They were good, overall, and i miss them.
