There is nothing like vgt is only for highway and wgt is worse in highway, Vgt turbo was introduced in the Verna or the creta diesel is to reduce the turbo lag in the lower rpms, the turbos as two main parts turbine and the compressor, the turbine runs when turned by the high pressure exhaust gases which in turn drives the compressor, here in wgt or the normal turbos it has a fixed vane only so the turbine does not turn much in low pressure so you don't get the turbo boost at slow speed, where as in vgt you get two vanes and one is for slow speed and thus the vane turn in even at low pressure thus you get the boost. So it's not about city or highway.

As for dct it's either a hit or miss, most of the low powered petrol cars with dct are dry clutch so to prevent heating in traffic, you need to put the gear in neutral and opt for smooth acceleration like wise in hills use paddle shifters.

As a owner of Skoda Rapid Monte Carlo Automatic 2020 version, I will share my experience. Both Gurudev & Kun skoda are not good in terms of service. Honestly I love this skoda car but please note that their service is such a depressing customer experience. Skoda as a car is good yes. But I will never again buy Skoda or VW because their service is such horrible and money motive. If you want peaceful customer experience, then please don't opt for VW group cars in India because they don't have efficient service culture. I still feel my Hyundai service experience during 5 years of Grand i10 was really awesome and so respectful. I love to be respected Hyundai customer instead stressed unhappy 😔 Skoda customer. Thanks.

In any car from any brand we need to sacrifice some of our requirement or other. For example in midsize suv with sunroof, AMT and reliable car with good Milage petrol car. Nexon and XUV300 - after service is not good. Reliability is still a question for long run. Venue and sonnet - build quality is 3 stars Breeza - as you said it’s not value for money Fronx does not has sunroof WRV is stopped not sure when is new version launched in India. Toyota does not have a car in this segment German cars needs high maintenance cost and low mileage Where is the car for my requirement even with many brands in India?
