I'm crying, I'm in a long distance relationship for about 5 years now. He's from Canada and I'm from the Philippines. I'm 12 hours ahead. Timezone sucks. So when he's having his breakfast. I'm having my dinner. We have this tradition that whenever we eat, we have to pretend we're giving each other the first bite of our food. And i find it cute. I'm going to see him again next year. The "good night" part really hit me. My boyfriend and I haven't been able to see each other since we started college, but we always make sure to say "good night" to each other. Telling each other about our days always make us feel like we weren't apart, and it's as if we are right next to each other. Lately though, it's been hard without him. My girlfriend and I have been together for over 3 years now and we were supposed to meet for the first time this Summer. We bought a flight ticket, luggage, prepared for everything and planned things through since March. Then the pandemic got worse and now all our plans are ruined. Not just ruined but completely utterly stomped to ground. It's really hitting us hard and it feels like all the happiness we felt with our plans has turned into sadness and frustration.. This animation makes me relate completely and I hope it gives us some strength to make it to Winter when will be the next potential time we can meet. @@juliariera4000 I'm in same situation, I live in Europe (Finland) and she's american... There's so few flights and the passport agency in US is shut down and opens who knows when... We only have so much time in our summer holidays and we just can't fit it well. How very typical that the year we decide to finally meet has a never before seen global pandemic as well as huge riots in the US. I'm both glad and sad to see others with the same situation, this year is so bad for long distance relationships.. Stay strong, I wish best of luck for you two as well!

Just wanted to spread a little hope, my now husband and i started off as long distance friends, then got engaged yet still were apart, then met each other abroad but had to continue being apart for some time until we finally got married. Now we are living together and we just had our first baby. He is an amazing husband and father and all the wait was worth it! I met my one true love on Discord through Twitch playing Animal Crossing. We fell in love without ever meeting or seeing a photo, then started going out after 2 weeks then had our first phone call then our first video call. It's been 4 months of us knowing one another 2 months dating he lives 2500 mi away in a different state and now because of the pandemic we probably won't meet until next year... So sad. But we talk/text everyday hours and hours and video call at least 3-4 times a week with calls that last at least 4 hrs long. LDR is a hard thing to go through but if it's the right special someone you know the distance the crazy pandemic nothing will break what you have. You will get through it.
