I don't understand what happened in the 3rd game. Granted that Doremy only had a 2 chain going for him, but how did Tetris kill him while he was in the middle of popping puyos?

It doesnt matter if you are in the middle of popping puyos. If garbage has already been placed above you and then you start the chain,you have to wait until the chain resolves or else what happened to Doremy will happen(even though he couldnt counter it even with the 2 chain).
