Hanayama cast Chain puzzle. Cheat solution + intended solution.

last week i remembered how i used to have 3 hanayama puzzles years ago (chain was one of them) and how i wanted to get more, but for some reason didnt get to it today ive ordered all lvl6 and lvl5 puzzles and cant wait for the day they arrive

Is it possible to get the pieces untangled if I somehow got piece 3 stuck in between 1 and 2, if that makes sense?

If three is in the middle, connect 1 and 2, and then disconnect 3 from 1. That’ll make it in a 1-2-3 order

Not even close to working on mine. I think piece 3 may be in a slightly different orientation. I will have to see if I can flip it (or maybe once I get these apart on my own will be able to put it back together to match your arrangement exactly). I'll update if I manage it with whether or not that helps the cheat.

I need help. When I get to the step where you put the slot in piece one into the slot in piece 3, piece one is backwards and will not fit in the slot. How to solve?

I had the same problem, and I solved it by using the "cheat" first, and then putting it together correctly.

How can you solve it if you reassemble it wrong? My number 1 piece is backwards

Hey, you are right. I reassembled it a little bit different. But as it's written in puzzle description, it can be solved three different ways.

@@Puzzleguy I currently have it in the order one, three, two but the notch in the one piece is on the wrong side. I'm struggling to find another solution. There must be one though as I put it together that way :)

This happened to me. You have to go methodically through different moves of moving one chain through another in different way until you get to original configuration. If you have notch on chain 1 on wrong side you can’t fit it into notch on chain 3 and then chain 2 can’t come out. It took me many trial of error to reconfigure it correctly and then use solution. You can get into that problem very easily when you our the chains in wrong orientation and reversing it is not easy unfortunately. That’s why this is 6. You can put it in configuration that is very difficult to reverse.
