you should have measured the each string voltage after minute 4:55. there is no point to measure string voltage before the string fuses are disconnected. am I wrong?

You are correct that you would want to measure string voltage after opening the fuse holders to verify that the string circuits are truly isolated. In the next steps (not shown in the video) we follow that process. Here, we're being extra careful and verifying that expected voltages are present before opening the fuses. An unexpected voltage measurement at this stage could suggest the presence of a ground fault.

According to 690.31 A, “Where PV source and output circuits operating at voltages greater than 30 volts are installed in readily accessible locations, circuit conductors shall be guarded or installed in Type MC cable or in raceway.” So how come there are conductors exposed at what appears to be ground level? Is the back of the array fenced? I ask because I have seen this on many videos, and I have had to make sure that exposed cables I install can’t be reached from the ground. I achieve this by raising the mounts and installing the modules so their wires are above 8 feet.

Hi Jeff, thanks for your question. In the video we are behind a locked gate, in an area accessible only to qualified personnel.
