@@voidvoid2126 the issue is diluvian existing and being glorified mob spam that undermines anything related to skill, learning or mastery. Also makes everything else in the game worthless. Hellmode and diluvian are PvE done horribly bad. Chime is PvP done wrong. Fuck all these things, deepwoken has strived so far from its premise it's insane, eventually it'll just collapse upon itself if it hasn't already considering how accessible these "rare" things are. Designing powerful stuff to be balanced by "rarity" is idiotic in the first place and I expected them to know that from rogue lineage, but guess not!

Diluvian is busted sure. But boiling down the rest of the game to "why does it exist when I can go get X items from Diluvian" shows you have fundamental level 20 brain worms on this topic. The rest of the game is an experience, its fun to explore... when you first play the fucking game. The thing that we need to actually be upset about isnt Diluvian, its the fact that Conquest was supposed to drop 9 MONTHS AGO. We were supposed to have a bladeharper oath AND IT GOT GIVEN TO SILENTHEART. Ironsing still doesnt have a legendary weapon. We arent getting what we were promised with deepwoken. This Diluvian problem is jingling keys in front of your face, and all the PVP top tiers clap and scream like the cymbal monkey in toy story 3. Do you remember when we voted for more world events? Not conquest? But now WE DONT EVEN GET CONQUEST. The only world events we got, were bum ass islands that spawn threshers rarely in the Etrean luminant, NOTHING has made me want to play the game. I have stayed a mid tier scrub because NONE OF THE UPPER TIER STUFF SEEMS FUN OR COOL TO DO. I play casually and am constantly fucked over, because anything and everything that gets added is either a buff, nerf, or legendary weapon, locked behind a boss that I have 0 incentive to fight, because if I do "What Now?" Deepwoken is stagnating because of Archmage- no not even archmage, Im near certain his other devs have him locked in a basement somewhere, because who's idea was it to remove the silence from silentheart. Deepwoken is stagnating because we have been getting kicked in the balls EVERY WEEK SINCE JANUARY, WAITING for conquest to FINALLY DROP. We have been promised so much from conquest, but dear lord id rather them drop JUST THE CENTRAL LUMINANT, WITHOUT THE ATTUNEMENTS, IF I FINALLY GET SOMETHING NEW TO DO.

exactly, i don’t have time to grind bosses for hours just to get 1 enchant like back when deepwoken dropped - the people mad about diluvian’s loot are the same ones who like grindy games cause of some stockholm syndrome type shit from sinking too many hours into it and getting mad when others do well without that level of dedication/insanity this is an issue because the playerbase STILL DOESNT UNDERSTAND THE DEVS ARE FUCKING THE GAME and instead are eating up the artificial difficulty slop the devs have added through useless complications and overbearing permadeath if you are thinking "oh why would i do this boss when i could just do a more comprehensive dungeon" like dan is then you've sunken too deep into the game and are forgetting that bosses are meant to be FUN, but because of this tryhard mindset and stupid min max meta the devs created by adding stuff like shrines and (controversial opinion) removing luck, people prioritise what can give me the best godroll instead of what will i find enjoyable

i have to be honest, for me it kinda makes sense for dawnwalker to do good against pve. Even tho blindseer was supposed to be all around protecting lost souls from the horrors of the depths and etc so it makes sense that it has pve buffs (which are lacking), kinda makes sense that light beats darkness and in the process they slay monsters and that kinda of stuff, but it's just what I think. I understand that pve is way too cheesy nowdays so one thing dawnwalker deserves is a pve scaling nerf

I do agree with a lot of your points, when I first got linked this video I thought it was just another boring ramble, it's not just diluvian though it's all the major loot drop locations, the devs are focusing too much on convenience and speeding prog up rather than making the prog/grind actually fun or entertaining, no one should be getting "rare" or "legendary" items as often as we are now

I really just think the issue with the game at its core right now is permadeath and the fact that no one wants to risk their shit doing the other bosses when Diluvian is instance based and has better loot than the other instance dungeon. The reason pve players have sucked ass at pvp for so long and they need these gorzillion damage a second kits is because the permadeath and punishment for dying to something you would need to learn is so brutal none of them wanted to learn them because that meant they could lose everything.

I agree with your first point but disagree with your last point, Diluvian is indeed safer than other dungeons because you can stop it at any time and does indeed have better loot than other instanced dungeons which makes everybody want to only do Diluvian and nothing else Most PvE players are perfectly competent in PvE, in fact almost all players in general are competent in PvE, but the problem stems from the fact that all this overpowered loot and godrolls are locked behind brainless mobspam. There is nothing to learn when you're up against a stupid amount of mobs that break how PvE was supposed to be originally played, which turns it into an endless cycle of hits with no window to retaliate. All there is left to do is stat-check, and that's how these PvE 1-tap builds are made. These builds began to make an appearance with hell mode and late verse 1, but absolutely exploded when Diluvian dropped. All this loot, all these relics, all these legendaries, and all you need is Brick-Wall, corrupted payback and insane amounts of DPS without regards for anything else. I usually defend the devs when they mess up, but it would be a disingenuous to ignore that archmage's Diluvian mechanism completely ruined PvE, and like with the Shrine of Order, it's too late to remove it because people have already gotten too comfortable with it.

heavily buff relic chances for bosses like ferryman primadon ect, and buff certain relic rates even higher for certain bosses (duke drops smiths alloys higher, primadon drops armorers needles higher) give people an incentive to farm these bosses, relic rates for bosses like ferryman duke and maestro should ABSOLUTELY not be 1%, thats literally 100 ferrymans for one relic on average. idk what they were thinking with making diluvian the entire games pve system

How to fix diluvian. Make it... 8 times harder. You know what? No Let's remove Diluvian or maybe just pop a very rare relic that would give you an entry to diluvian. Bosses not in the spotlight? How about we make a Hard Mode where even the most sweaty pve players struggle, but get good loot? Because if we want good loot we must do bosses like its a 1v10 only 1% hp cap, Diluvian was suppose to be very hard, but PVE players made it a literal JOKE.

that's not the point of the game at all bro, deepwoken was originally _and still is_ geared towards an equal amount of both In early verse 1 you needed to PvP to get Luck to get as much legendary talents as possible to make a good build, and you needed PvE to gain levels and reach power 60 and complete the build In current verse 2 the goalpost was moved slightly but the balance still remains the same, you can't get knowledge and godrolls and specific weapons and enchants without PvE, and there would be no point in doing PvE and making a good build if there wasn't PvP and people to fight Diver origin is nonexistent without PvE, Knife origin is nonexistent without PvP I tell you, the TRUE point of the game is a full-on Build-Creation main course meal and a succulent steak of PvE covered in Exploration sauce, with a big juicy PvP dessert birthday cake drenched in the blood of a thousand enemies at the end ..And then you get a diabetes-related heart attack and wipe 🥰🥰🥰
