In short yes. It is capped at soc being below 95 percent depending on the oem policy to extend battery life

Sir is it necessary because ola company does not recommend cell balancing

Because ola uses nmc as its battery chemistry wherein the voltage curve for different state of charge varies in a linear pattern and is easily captured by the bms thereby eliminating the need for cell balancing. But for lfp batteries the problem arises as the voltage curve is stable between 70 to 30 percent and therefore makes it difficult for the bms to get an accurate soc which results in unbalenced cells within a battery pack over a periiod of time.

Basically, Its a trade off between battery life and performance.
