Nice video! I personally think that a slightly lower grade spellbook woth good rolls is a little better than just the cheapest purple. I usually get a blue with magic power, and magic damage bonus and it runs about 300-500g and it works well for me

great video and the breakdowns of the decision making are quite well done. However I'd like to mention that fast forwarding isn't really necessary, you can just cut out those parts and maybe mention that cut part with a brief text instead of x2/x4 through the walking around looking/camping.

great video tho i honestly think in this meta you have very low move speed for solo, i would have build a bit extra on that end, and since you run insta cast and recovery/cast anymation between 85% and 120% is the same , i woudlnt have put so much money into knowledge.

@@faflafaflev3899 intense focus only gets you that 1 quick spell, and it always is going to take multiple in a row to secure a kill. I prioritize high cast speed so that I can combo spells together to inflict higher DPS, allowing me to keep high pressure on when it’s warranted and not allow my enemies to heal back up after each spell. Obviously you want to build some movespeed so you aren’t getting circles run around you, hence why I shoot for 305+. And stacking super high movespeed makes sense for purely just kiting, but it’s rare nowawadays for anyone to just W-key you infinitely. Melee classes have learned to not let themselves be kited to death, so they either anchor the fight to a piece of cover or just let you go, and when playing around cover I find cast speed and action speed to be far more impactful because it allows me to punish their peeks much more consistently. If I am being W-keyed by a player that is faster than me, with this build I invis-juke them to get out of melee range and then keep the DPS rolling. Relying on movespeed means you are also relying on a ton of open real estate, and not getting 3rd partied as you drag fights on and on, neither of which historically have panned out for me. Also, relying on movespeed is just another stat-check because if you build 315 and they’ve built 320, all that gold you prioritized on movespeed means nothing. By investing more into cast speed, I can shift the fight into a more skill-based environment where I only lose if I misplay it, not if they have a more expensive kit than me. In 10-spell, the argument for high cast speed increases even more because you have more utility options to quickly chain together. Instead of infinitely kiting someone, if I just haste and then land a slow followed by two zaps and an explosion and then invis juke them before the slow wears off, I can end fights more quickly and in a smaller space. Trust me I have tried the movespeed meta, and it simply doesn’t work for me on wizard because it draws fights out too long and then even if I kill an enemy because I stacked more movespeed than them, I almost always have alerted another player and they are on me right away and then I have no spells and my neighbors hear “WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO WIZARD SUCKS WHY DO I HAVE TO SIT ON THE GROUND TO PLAY THE GAME”

There’s a common misconception you need to infinitely kite on wizard. You’re given an arsenal of spells that increase your movement speed and slow your opponent. You need to prioritize spell casting speed over move speed to utilize combos that will keep your opponent from being able to chase you.

prioritizing knowledge in your kit while using intense focus is a bit pointless imo. 1second fireball or intense focus it for .5 sec? no difference

@@TahitiSkeez you only get one instant spell, you will always have to follow it up with more spells. The intense focus helps get you some opening damage but if it misses you still need to be able to fight normally. There are other ways to play the class, my playstyle isn’t necessarily “the best.” You could stack HP and Magic Power and stat-check people, or you can stack movespeed and infinitely kite…I just prefer high cast speed for applying constant pressure and landing combos.

doesn't really seem that fun to go into the game, stay put in one module and just wait for pvp to come to you. fighting mobs is a lot more fun than fighting players

@@grimscar it’s just the nature of the Crypts map. With tons of tight corners in a lot of the map, no amount of light orbs or awareness can save you from an ambush. It’s up to you to not put yourself in situations where you don’t have complete control, because if one thing goes wrong, your are unfortunately dead.
