It wasn't a PB. She ran 22:31 in the heats. She was holding her thigh and slightly favouring her left thigh after the 100m final. She has had serious injuries in the past so I really hope they let her rest for some time with national trials coming up.

@@dmvbay2535so with an injury she runs a PR in the 100m but the same injury is somehow a factor as to why she didn’t place 3rd as expected? I’m not understanding why so many people are claiming she’s injured unofficially… what are we supposed to do with that information? The only official information we have is that MCKENZIE LONG won as expected and equaling the meet record. The runner up Jameesia Ford the indoor 200m champion followed by the lovely ladies from LSU, Ms. Jackson, Ms. Page, and the Arkansas duo that just ran the 400m final moments ago.

This was always the fear that many Jamaicans have. The college coaches are after points at the expense of the athletes health. It is clear from the 100m race that Briana has a niggle. So why risk her in the 200m race. This makes little to no sense whatsoever. Long's coach skip the 100m to keep her fresh for the 200m. So why is Lyston's coach pushing her to do the 200m when she is not a hundred percent. There might be something sinister happening here with Briana.

@longbranch11207 nope, that's my point, she apparently wasn't that injured even if she wasn't 100 percent she was able to run fast enough to score points and help her team. How many Athletes only compete at 100 percent 🤔 anyway

@jordanjordannis2258 wasn't she the U20 champion before she attended LSU last year. 🤔 How many meets did she compete in outdoor last year. The coach is on record detailing how she couldn't handle the workout load and compete well. She's doing alot better this year, but she wasn't able to complete a full season schedule this year and looks like she barely made it through this Conference Meet. Do I need to continue 🤔
