PvZ2 Custom OST - Fallen Technology Theme

It's here! Took a bit to make and all, but I'm very satisfied with this one. Fallen Tech as a concept has always been amazing to me, as well as one of my absolute favourite worlds I've done. The music was very fun to compose too, as I was basically allowed to do anything and add glitchy and hyperactive synths. This setting allows for a lot of interesting instrumentation.
Instruments are close to Far Future's, but with the twist of being way more heavy and versitile. As for the video itself, I thought it'd be neat if I managed to show all the info on an actual futuristic screen, a broken one, of course.
And with that, this is probably my favourite world theme music I've done yet. Oh also, I did hear that Plants vs Zombies 2 International is getting actual new stuff, and honestly, I can't wait to see what actual new things we're gonna get! Hopefully Peter returns with more new music as well.

I love the atmosphere that this world gives. It is apocalyptic, in ruins, you feel the chaos in the electronic sounds and the distortion. I imagine that this world is even long after the far future, where technology stopped working and turned corrupt towards humans.

When I'm listening to this music, it makes me feel like the zombies this time around are at a major disadvantage because they are having to revert back to the times where power, food, water, and shelter were scarce. They'll have to scrape together all they can of all that's left just to make it in this world where plants that have survived the collapse are abundant and powerful. (Amazing music. 10/10, can and will listen to again)

Of course- but when considering (at least if you don't care about actual logic and how radiation works, and assume that it's a post nuclear war scenario) -mutations, all sorts of crazy, monstrous zombies could crop up. And those that *aren't* mutated freaks, well, they'd be ferocious in their own way. As you said- "Water, Food," (though I doubt zombies would even need water, and food is just... brains. Which is what they're going after you for in the first place.) "...power, and shelter were scarce", and that "they'd have to scrape together all they can just to make it in this world..." ...meaning they'd have to start getting creative. Sure they won't have all the robots and crazy high-tech stuff of the far future, but you can expect all the weapons and contraptions they do jury rig from the scraps they can would be dangerous... and not necessarily because they'd be good- No, for the opposite reason. Them being not exactly properly made would mean stuff like that could possibly backfire... Just imagine some kind of vehicle, or robot lacking all the safety precautions of the far future robots or vehicles, just... having a chance of exploding when you defeat them, destroying plants and zombies alike in the explosion's wake. Or a badly calibrated gun or some other weapon of the zombies'... not being made properly (because, with the current tech level, the can't afford to,) having a chance to misfire off at a plant in a different lane... or who knows- hit a completely random plant entirely. Meh... just spouting off ideas.

There should be a zombie or 2 with a worn down version of a far future machine maybe the mecha cone that explodes like a jack in the box zombie after it is defeated. Also there should for sure be a mutated zombie or 2 like gargantuar and his imp should be mutants with multiple eyes or arms or something and them gaining some sort of special ability because of that.

Also, here's an idea: Ruined Disco-Tron. It wouldn't be able to summon anything, but when defeated, it would just fall and remain as an obstacle until fully destroyed, kinda like a surfboard. Also, it would play a wonky and glitchy version of the Disco-Tron theme

Assuming we ever get a world with this theme (or one similar to it), I would love if it was the true final world. Perhaps Zomboss could mislead the player/Dave/Penny into thinking their time travelling is what caused the "fallen technology" future to occur, despite that not truly being the case. And if you want ties to the Chinese version? Have it set at the same time as Sky City; the Jetpack Zombies (or some sort of "search"/"seek" variant) could fly down during a mid-wave raid perhaps, to imply that humanity left the now-uninhabitable surface world to live in Sky City.

I must say this is quite the spectacle. This does fit with Fallen Technology as a world, it sounds desolate, eerie and a hint of desperation with the electronic like music. This does make me feel like this once great and bustling world of wonders now turned into dust by the technological advancements and finally the technology went against their creators and ruined the world around us like terminator but a bit more light hearted. This is really good even if this wasn't for PvZ 2 just like Space Odyssey wouldn't you agree? Keep up the good work btw! You just earned a subscriber (-: (I must also add that the reward music sounds really bittersweet like "You survived and your reward is to live another day in the apocalyptic wasteland that you call home")

His last memory was of his wife and daughter, found dead while the remains of the government tried to evacuate to New Zealand. He relates to the Rusty Helmet Zombie on high levels, which pulls insanity on his way. Ability: Increases his speed in accordance to the quantity of Rusty Helmets in the field. Me fascino, siendo sincero para memorizarla tendria que escucharla por lo menos 10 veces, pero la verdad es que el ritmo, la sensacion, el tema, la inspiracion... son tales que es una manera increible de imaginarse el mundo y la jugabilidad, mientras sonaba la musica me imaginaba como estaria jugando en ese momento y se sintio bien, tambien debo decir que da una especie de sensacion terrorifica pero queda bien con lo que vendria siendo el aspecto del mundo, la verdad una de las mejores, se lleva un 9.75/10

This would make a good final world. The place where the zombies were created. There were dozens of experiments were done here, but the zombies were their last. They tried to make immortality, but instead they made something more... sinister. After they made the machines, they decided to run tests on 10 different test subjects. 9 of them failed, and made the zombies we know today, but one test subject had different results. His name... Edgar Zomboss. Tell me if I should continue or not.

Gimmick - Penury of Light: As the level progresses, the light that covers the screen will progressively compress itself circumferentially and it'll go darker, when this happens, you can't see anything that isn't whitin the light spectre and plants out of it lose their function and abilities. Surprise Attack: Invisi-Rogues: Multiple Fallen Rogue Zombies will appear by surprise from the a random side of the dark spectre that tangencies with the right, bottom and upper sides of the lawn. Plants: Plantern: Single-use plant Ability: Can shine the screen so hard that puts away the Penury of Light for a moderate period of time. Recharge: 40 seconds. Rogue Peashooter: Ability: Can shoot the zombies with sharpened shuriken projectiles that drills through three zombies at once, also has the ability of cloning itself to the front of four zombies and drain their health randomly. Recharge: 20 seconds. Plant Food: Shoots five giant shurikens that cover all the five lanes. Chemistripult: Ability: Shoots potion projectiles at zombies and has 30% chance of shooting a potion that has a random negative effect at zombies. Recharge: 40 seconds. Plant Food: Shoots a giant Chemical Bomb that explodes and fills the majority of the battlefield's tiles with toxic elemental ponds that damage zombies greatly. Uranium Sugarcane: Ability: In a 3x3 range, it can damage zombies greatly with a toxic uranium aura. Recharge: 60 seconds. Plant Food: Shoots a liquid from its' interiors and makes a really Acid Rain fall from the sky and corrode all zombies' defensive weapons and kill those who are unprotected. Doom-Shroom: Single-use Plant. Ability: Has the ability of exploding all the zombies whitin a range. Recharge: 120 seconds. Ice-Shroom: Single-use Plant. Ability: Has the ability of freezing all the zombies in the battlefield. Recharge: 100 seconds.

Feels like the world would’ve either been further in time than Far Future, or this world is just a alternate reality of Far Future, so Far Future tech has succeeded, but Fallen Technology, aka the alternate reality, it failed and resulted in a nuclear war of some kind.

I think they need some kind of near future level set in the 2080s with cyborg zombies called zomborgs. There could be a vehicle that absorbs suns and uses it to blast energy at plants like a reverse magnifying grass. A drone dispatcher that summons multiple flighty mini drones flying above your defenses like a chicken hoarder but but with flying units. There would be cloning tiles where if s plant or zombie goes on it, an exact copy of them appears on another spot.

I recently thought of an idea for a new type of tile and it would go along with the idea of the fallen technology world being a declined version of far future and it would be broken power tiles. And they would look like the power tiles we know and love but they would be all cracked or shattered looking and instead of multiplying single uses of plant food it makes it so that plants that are planted on top of them cannot use plant food but you can repair them with tile turnip or another plants that could be added in the new world

Zombie types I feel would work well with this world.. Fallen Zombie: Basic Zombie Fallen Conehead: Basic Conehead Fallen Buckethead: Basic Buckethead Mutated Zombie: Basic "Tougher" Zombie (Similar to Pyramid Head, and Mortar Zombie) It's head Looks more like an Imp's and is sealed in a tough container made of discarded, broken keyboards and screens. Mutated Miner Zombie: Similar to Miner Zombie, but slower, and lacks weakness to Magnet Shroom, however can be hit by lobbing plants (Their Pickaxe is made of broken pieces of tech) Crashtronaut Zombie: A Zombie in a Tattered Orange Spacesuit, with the glass of the helmet broken out to show its face. Toughness is that of Wizard Zombie, and it will plant it's torn flag in the same way as a Surfer Zombie. Fallen Imp: Same as a typical imp, but faster, and will hurt defensive plants more than usual Fallen Gargantuar: Throws a Fallen Imp at half health. Will Smash defensive plants, and Spikerock in one hit. Misfunction Zombie: A former Jetpack Zombie. When at half health, the jetpack will malfunction, and smash the zombie into a plant in it's current lane, killing it, Similar to All-Star Zombie. Toughness is about that of a Conehead. Doomed Zombie: When killed, creates a portal from the Far Future like seen in Modern Day. Imp toughness. The zombies that come from the portal are random, and there is a very small chance of the zombie being from another world besides Far Future. (Parasol Zombie, Jester Zombie, Octo Zombie, or Hair Metal Gargantuar) Catapult Zombie: Lobs hunks of metal at plants on the lawn, and stays in the first three right squares of the lawn. Weak to lobbers, unharmed by non piercing peas. Toughness is that of Shield Zombie. The Misdirected: Tougher Variant of the Doomed Zombie. Creates a portal from any world, rather than just Far Future. Likes to pick whatever is most annoying to your selected seeds, Such as Jester, Parasol, Excavator, or Glitter Zombies. Boss: Zombot Forever-Tron 5.0. When its health bar depletes, it changes into a random boss from another world, clears the lawn and changes what seeds you receive to a random set from another world. When the final health bar is depleted, the lawn is cleared, and it transforms into the original Zombot, while your seeds become completely random. Zombot will also summon portals, and Zombies normally restricted to PVP modes, like Gladiator, Z-Mech, or Cardio Zombie.

I know this is an old video but I just need to share my thoughts on it This is how I picture this... fallen technology world The human race.. finally fed up with the mass amount of zombies finally decide to at the very least put them to work. By using some honest shoddy cybernetics, humanity is able to turning zombies into robotic cyborgs that follow only the commands of its master which means they can to a variety of things.. from making you dinner to playing a game of Chutes and Ladders with you. However some happens.. a glitch in the system perhaps? But something causes the mechanical zombies to go under the control of something unknown... the zombies go ballistic, forcefully returning to the streets and retaining their original mentality but now with a more lifeless feel (if you can even get a zombie to be any more lifeless) and with some more snazzy abilities..... but they still shuffle around... their movement is much more jerky and some of them have a terrible squeaking noise every time they move a joint Which makes it the new hated sound.. finally surpassing the “Brains” as the most hated sound from a zombie However.. humans created the zombies (sorta) so they are gonna fight back, creating a new series of robots designed after the zombies mortal nemesis PLANTS! When humanity was overwhelmed by zombies... these robots remained deactivated and dismantled until now Mecha Peashooter: A focus fire plant that can fire upon any of the 5 lanes. But it requires itself to scan the area for life forms to fire on first. Description: Emotionless, decisive, and merciless. this device was created by someone to mimic the appearance and behavior of a regular Peashooter with a few extra gimmicks that give it some extra advantages over its emotion filled relatives Mechanical sunflower: a sunflower that produces less sun, but can defend itself with it’s sharp petals when attacked. Description: even though Mechanical Sunflower has a smile forever etched onto its face.. it doesn’t really seem to have the same hospitality as it’s actual genuine smiling counterpart, it also has a weird fascination with songs about zombies being on your lawn RustNut: A wall nut in the shape of a Screw nut that’s rusted RustNut upon defeat releases a chemical that causes mechanical zombies to rust Zombies affected with rust: move slower, take damage over time, take more damage from attacks, and deal less damage. 20% chance for the mechanical zombies to be immediately defeated upon being rusted Description: it’s not even known if RustNut was even designed to be a Wall Nut but it does seem a bit more lively than the other machines . Well... as lively as a giant screw nut can get.. (As much as I can think right now)
