From what I been hearing it’s not just the Pvz shooters that been getting this change. It feels more like EA is forcing to put in place for maybe a lot of its other game series they own. The Anti-cheats proably weren’t realsed because of gw2. So in other words Popcap had basically no word in this. After all it is called the Ea-Anticheat not popcap-Anticheat .

Modifying the speech bubbles was always a thing. You could also do the classic bullshit boss attack primary shenanigans too, but it would only work in giddy park. The only things that could get carried over to multiplayer were cosmetics and the speech bubbles (basically no gameplay impact whatsoever)

LT, theyre IS a way to play bfn + gw2 on Linux + Steamdeck (not 100% sure on the steamdeck tho): you need to install virtual machine manager, kvm / qemu and pass your gpu through the vm. the vm needs to be created with a windows 10 iso (windows 11 is different and harder to get working. you can only get the iso on windows thanks to Microsoft not liking Linux) that is the only way to play the games without issues on the Steamdeck and Linux distro's. "but its a kernel AC" luckely eaac is easily fooled by virtual machines, so we can bypass it. this also works on Battlefield 5, Bf 2042 and (most) other EA games with this ac

I need to keep the game to make sure I can get the models for my fan game (even though I am a procrastinator and have no idea how to code yet). I don't even know why I uninstalled GW2 since I was going to make File Packs for all three PvZ Shooters and try to fix the rigs to be more.... animation-friendly (Using Inverse Kinematics like the GMod, SFM, and the TF2 Trifecta instead of Forward Kinematics like how PopCap made the models). I will also be making a custom computer so I have to redownload it anyway.

The most stupid part is that Bfn on PC doesn't have the exact player base as Gw2. Sure, it has almost a non-existent playerbase, but it never had the same hack issues as Gw2. So this anti-cheat is *WORTHLESS* My only hope right now is that this "new" anti-cheat will be so bad that we will finally have proper mods for Bfn without the risk of getting banned. You know, things like modded upgrades, new characters, reworks done by the community... basically, the few things that made Gw2 on pc worth playing, now for Bfn. But before anyone says anything, yes: I'm in copium.

I’m ok so one time i was doing my last round of infinity time and i got 25000 shards, so as the shards were going into the chest i Fucking disconnect from ea servers meaning I didn’t get a party character piece. Greed should ruin ownership of ip honestly if they cant properly cook a game in 5 years they can be challenged by another person or small group to do better if they win they take strip the ip legally from the company and if they keep making great choices the ip should be for the public with only ownership for a single game so its more like legal rights for fangames with monetization and community freedom.

If you have a tiktok attention span here is what the anti cheat did, so first lets start with the obvious, no more steam deck and whatever else, not only that but now the game has insane performance issues, something it already had, tho ill give them this, the anti cheat does do the EXACT SAME as eac ( the anti cheat that used to be there ) there has been no change in the amount of cheating, its not easier or harder, but hackers are just showing it did nothing, leading to alot of cheaters currently on the game, thank you for reading.

There are reasons why the Console versions of the games are much better than the PC versions of the same damn game. But it'll take a huge fucking list, including what was described here, to list out everything. We the community probably need to boycott the franchise in it's entirety for EA to sort of get their heads out for their greedy asses.
