By the way, the best place to practice bean jumps is in the Trials of Gnomus room (or somewhere like it). You can bean jump off the edge, and then fall into the void, and then instantly respawn. If you fail you can fall in the void as well and respawn. When you respawn you will have your abilities recharged! As such this is the fastest way to reset while practicing the bean jump.

Apparently popcap made the sombrero bean bomb have a faster cool down than the regular bean bomb which seems kind of odd

@@plasmapea9822 The normal bean bomb takes less time to explode and does less damage. The bean bomb takes longer to charge, longer to explode, and does more damage. The dark beans do the worst amount of damage, but recharge quickly, explode the fastest, and have 2 charges.

I'd argue the rocket and sticky jump mechanics of Team Fortress 2 that take thousands of hours to master are more interesting than this neat little tech that I got figured out in a couple minutes of watching this vid lol. go watch a couple TF2RJweekly videos and tell me which one is cooler. (not trying to say this isn't interesting btw, TF2's kind of an extreme comparison seeing as it has arguable the best movement system in any fps, meanwhile this game had devs go out of their way to remove a similar bug with allstar that existed in the first game.)

Moreso, how is doing said intended thing with the rocket launcher not a movement ability when doing something unintended with the peashooter a movement ability?

@@zagrfige Because it doesn't *use* an ability! An ability is a very specific thing in the context of PvZ: it causes a function not inherent in the character, and has a cool down. Rocket jumping is inherent to soldier because it involves his main weapon, and it does not have a substantial cool down. It is not comparable to a PvZ ability. And anyway, I like bean jumping because it goes really high and breaks the maps.

This was the only I could beat the trials of gnomus. The lava tiles one was getting me because I kept running out of time so I ended up skipping the last section with a bean jump.

I know GW1 is irrelevant now but if you rocket leap and keep pressing jump as you hit the ground it keeps your momentumfrom the rocket leap and you can go really quick (don’t press any movement button or joystick while doing it) I’ve hit a lot of trick shots by jumping off a roof of a building after octet leaping. It’s really helpful once you get used to it

krook whenever I go to do the gliding Bean jump I pass the bean on top of him and before jumping, I always run with hyper jump and use beans instantly but or I cross the bean and fall into the Forward, and when I try to walk on top of the beans like you do in gliding I fall from it help me?

Additional mode; if your bean is behind you but the hit box still glides you, if you jump you will get launched forward violently, great for ambush

Use the bomb immediately after you jump. If you take too long, this happens. Just keep practising and you'll get there.

No if you glide, It's best if you don't press any of the moving keys ( W, S, D, A ), but you can shoot, jump and move your view while doing that
