You can blame geffen records for this. After minor success with the first album and singles in USA her 2nd album flopped , so she lost her record deal in USA. Very ,very short sighted. I would’ve loved to have seen what USA would have thought of her rhythm of love album and singles

I was a 24 year old Royal Military Policeman serving in Osnabrück, Germany at the time. I remember this song so clearly at the time. Most beautiful woman I've ever seen is my wife who just happens to be Russian. However, you've great taste. It was a fantastic time to be young. I loved those days.

Well I guess before that the Song was classical with a Refrain tied to the melody and in the verse they used another melody - like in 1:17 … but at 2:01 they transported that joy from the verse in the refrain by just keeping the melody- all that created a Kind of „Drop“ too… it’s pure joy ….
