In this render, the camera FOV was part of a larger scene and the artist wasn't afraid of letting the ball go out of the frame for a bit. Really creative. Plus the idk what to call it but the the parallax effect was so cool with the zipline coming out of the screen as well. 11:32 A nice break from all the complex intensive rude goldberg machine type stuff. Yeah he's killing it - I still don't get why he couldn't have just done this as part of corridor. Obviously I don't know, and I'm glad it's working out, but I can't imagine having Clint having a conversation with Niko saying this is what he wants to do, and Niko not being like, "If that's what it'll take to keep you happy at corridor let's make it happen." He's talked about making a feature film, but how is that going to be easier on his own than putting it on the web site's greenlight program?
@soulance83423 жыл бұрын
@@bluefletcherfish I know nothing about Clint's situation, but I know me personally, I get effected by people around me easily. Not in a bad way it's just difficult for me to know my true ambitions unless I'm able to be alone. I also know groups depend on each other and it would be very difficult for Clint to not put his project aside to help the rest of corridor during a crunch situation. Running a channel and creating content is very time intensive so I can understand why Clint would want to just step away and do this on his own. He still has many friendships with the crew and he seems happy. That's all that matters.

I mostly clicked to see if Wren's got in here, which it did and I'm glad, but man this was awesome. some of them seemed so life-like you forget this is all digital. Amazing pieces all of you.

Fascinating and addictive! I loved how some followed the same ball, others were relays, and a few were like "keep your eye on the ball" routines. So many of the scenarios depicted were complete little worlds while many were quirky pinballs or Rube Goldberg contraptions. I've got to rewatch this on half-speed so I can pick up more details - but I need to wait until my vision quits jittering! Liked and Saved!

I love this so much. Phenomenal work by everyone involved! If it's not too much trouble, I'd love to see a version without the added music, just to experience all these with their original sound design alone. But, this was amazing to watch regardless. Thank you for organizing this Clint : )
@Leukick3 жыл бұрын
Some of the sound design sucked, so just to keep the video consistent they might have used music for that reason

I agree I would love to watch this without music, even if some of the sound design is lackluster.

This is an amazing feat and all the renders are gorgeous! But I do have ONE quibble; in the render starting at about 4:23, the extra objects coming in through the top hole ruined the seamless illusion for a bit. Edit: And now I see that one was a 2nd place winner! Ha! Oh well.

How does one judge this. These are all amazing. Seeing the creative choices that everyone made is inspiring. Also when the video was over my TV started to move down. (Weird brain stuff happening).
@ErrantVanguard3 жыл бұрын
I think from what I saw of their "judging" stream of the top 100, they have kind of a flexible set of rules that in the end manages this the best it can. If you can take a simple idea, give it context, story, a feel, and make it as complete as you can with as little time as you have, then you made a great work. Also, being able to ping an emotion or two while you're at it never hurts. In the end though, the top ones might are probably gonna be very subjective. It's a great credit to the community that it is hard to judge, both through how good they are as well as sheer numbers. A contest like this is only fun to watch when you can't easily predict the outcome.

This is one of the most satisfying videos I've ever seen. Congratulations to everyone who poured their creativity and talent into their submissions for this competition. Contrary to some responses, I reckon the music choice and volume level suit the compilation splendidly, really built up the energy as the balls rolled from one render to the next, and the hints of sound effects from the various renders peaked above the music just enough to enhance the journey.
