I was watching for the link plays... Nair for days. I like Salem's link. His bomb plays are crazy. Izaw feels more like a rely on the basics kinda player.

What other good options does Link have? (This is a question, not an attack. I'm a Link main myself, but I find myself relying a lot on nair because I need quicker options for neutral. I try and do mix-ups--for example, after I've been nairing a lot, I'll go for an empty jump into grab or fast fall near their shield and double jump to try to punish out-of-shield options. I'll also use fair for anti-airing, but only for hard reads.)

@@yowza9638 his Bair is only other option. Link is a pretty shafted character we don't have many moves that aren't full of end lag or something ridiculously slow to get us punished.

Yeah despite Link's KO power he struggles to actually secure KOs outside of edgeguards. Really miss his more consistent boomerang combos, bomb combos, Dtilt combos, and potential Dthrow 50/50s from Smash 4 because now he relies way too much on stray hits and difficult setups that take way too much time to facilitate compared to other zoner/turtle type characters. Plus his close range options are just not good, like his frame 8 jab with hitboxes narrow enough to whiff on short hops and missed techs.

A bit too good IMO. It needs a frame or two more landing lag, it has solid range for a sex kick and Link is a zoner, he shouldn't be so safe on shield up close.

Most are, it's important to remember the scenario. Final game set in a tournament against winners. The first game is all about playing slowing and learning about your opponent. Nobody is gonna do anything crazy.

I hate what Smash Ultimate did to Greninja. Sure, he's high tier now, but he's also so predictable and boring to watch compared to Smash 4. Literally all he does now is spam n-air, dash attack and d-tilt for easy follow ups at literally any %.

"easy follow ups?" try the character, you'll find that they're mostly 50/50s and reading the opponent's disadvantage play. Many of his combos are reactionary, not "easy"

@@noblepursuit591 Link has his annoyances too, mainly the fact his n-air is so absurdly good despite him being a zoning character. A good chunk of the cast just can't do shit if he decides to get in their face and spam it due to its ridiculously low landing lag.
