Few corrections: Manichithrazhu is not based on a book written by Madhu Muttam. It is an original story and screenplay. Next, Fazil, Siddique-Lal & Siby Malayil were not associate directors, they were 2nd unit directors. Since they were running against clock to release it during Xmas 1993, they had to finish shooting in 1 month. So Fazil sought help of his previous assistant directors who had became established directors by then. Siddique-lal directed most of the comedy scenes ft Innocent. Siby Malayil filmed pazham thamizh paatt song..

Devadoothan was dts mixing . I remember watching it from deva cinemas perungottukara . Sound was top notch during that time and even now. Nikhil bro if you haven’t been to that theatre . Give a try ! 😊

If you have watched Manichithrathaazhu like 100 times like me, like every time it comes up on channels then don’t watch it in theatres unless it’s housefull. I watched it in PXL screen and bro, the print was so bad. I know there is no proper print of it left but still many scenes were so out of focus. On top of that, the music was so bad in many areas. Mainly the comedy scenes, the recreation of certain comedy sound effects were a disaster. If you are someone who don’t give a damn about the movie when it comes on TV then go for it but if you watch it every time it comes up on TV then you will be disappointed because it won’t feel like a classic movie with those vintage sound effects. No matter how good the screen is or the music system is. I prefer the original one.
