General Hospital -1995 Alan tells Emily how the family works

1995 - Emily is still new to the Quartermaines and this family really confuses her (they seem lovable one moment and they go for the kill the next.) Alan tries to explain to her how the family works. It's not normal. You have to stockpile arguments. They have a good laugh about it. Monica comes along and sees them, especially Em, being happy. She tells Alan that Emily listens to him but not to her. Alan explains to Monica that he's not replacing her mother so it's easier for him to connect with Emily.

Her father was gone when she was really little so she never missed what she didn't have. But her mother Paige just passed away so it was harder for Emily to accept Monica as a mother.
