I've been looking at this compared to the logitech g29 and 920. Would you say that this would be more worth it than spending the extra $50 + extra $60 for the shifter? I don't know if you know much about the logitech line but people highly recommend it. Long story short, do you think this wheel is as good or close to the quality of the logitech because Im looking for a wheel that has accurate clutch and manual transmission shifter. Thanks!
@Beatsick693 жыл бұрын
Hey Stopspro, I think the logitech g29 would be an upgrade to this steering wheel if we are talking about only the wheel. For the price of the PXN v9 though you get not only the steering wheel but the shifter and pedals which make everything waaay more realistic. The g29 has force feedback where as this only has bungee type and vibration but for me it was WELL worth saving over $150 by getting this instead of the g29 and spending the rest on other goodies. Hope this helps.

@T8orade3 жыл бұрын
well dont know if it holds up 5 months later but its pritty bad for me atleast, theres 25 degrese of dead zone but the software let me tune it into around 10, still annoying tho especially for small adjustments.

Does this have motorized force feedback, bungee cord style feedback, or just vibration response? Thanks for the vid bro.
@Beatsick693 жыл бұрын
Hey Don I think it has bungee type feedback (the wheel resets to middle position) and vibration. For me this is the first wheel I get but playing Dirt Rally feels a million times more realistic!
@remington1093 жыл бұрын
@@Beatsick69 Thanks for the response. I don't have any experience with these either and I figured for the price it was the bungee style, but still seems like a good buy. Again, appreciate the vid.

Hey Anthony, make sure you are not pressing the shifter down when mapping 1,2,3,4,5,6. You can press shifter down when mapping R. Also make sure you are in the right mode (should say PXN V9 under "Controls" in Dirt Rally instead of Xbox Controller). Hope that helps!

Love me or hate me but this wheel is not the best "(¬ . ¬)" Let's cut bullshit in half, I am a girl and when I play (American Truck Simulator 1.39.x / 1.40) it has a ton of delay (see note below) in despite of the wheel settings (or configurations) PXN-V9 V3.87.exe and the setting controler in the game itself (!) In the curves, crossing someone or loading my trailer from behind, I have to predict the future to avoid any accidents and that is not normal at all. Note : Delay is... imagine you are holding a circular clock-wall in your hands and the number 12 is the center of the steering. When you decide to turn (left-right), to feel that you are turning, the center (number 12) must be to (or at) 57 mins of the clock and the same feeling to the right, 03 mins. The deadzone is 6 mins (!!!) it's very huge and I don't understand what is going on (!!!). The hard part is when you want to keep the road straight, you are always zigzaging with the steering (yellow line, white line, yellow line, white line just to find the perfect center. You feel so stressed that you must drive with two hands and you drink your sweat. When I use my own (real) car (I am always driving with one hand in the bottom) and I turn to minute 59 or 01 (always imagining the clock-wall) the car is turning just like that without question (for people who are driving I think you know what I am trying to say...) So what I have done is I unscrewed the steering to see inside and I feel being cursed (being a japanese, curse is the word...). Inside of it, it's cute and good job (solid gears, nice connections) but one of the gear holds a potentiometer of 10K (like an old volume button on the radio or equalizer on a tablemixer) and that potentiometer is the steering itself. What I have tried to do is to change that 10K potentiometer for another (not using the steering, only driving with the potentiometer) and the problem is there. The 0 middle zone destroy everything to enjoy the fun and it sucks... It's very sensitive when you turn but it's not made to drive straight with. I also tried to put a motor inside (like a 360° rotor) such as servo SG9 and a step motor for sensitivity and linearity but I am very limited with arduino stuffs (I am meteorologist). Otherwise, nice design for a 11 inch steering... it's just stupid to use a potentiometer "(¬ . ¬)" The pedals are still working (strong plastic, chrome plates over them) but very limited too. The sensors are like a scroll mouse (if you saw inside of a mouse), the resistance come from springs so I give 50/50 for it but nice design. The shifter... a small and cute one "(ღ˘ ⌣ ˘ღ)" same like the others, I unscrewed to see inside. Very simple, normal wires, strong springs, metal parts (looks like Logitech shifter (probably made in the same manufacturer) but the micro switches look like a joystick of playsation with extra push buttons (the TIC sound when we shift). If you are not speed-shifting like a V12 in a draft-yard, it's good (I don't like race games so that shifter is good for me). To resume... I still prefer to drive with my keyboard (arrow keys) using the perfect settings (sensitivity, linearity) but I feel sorry of my deception about that 10K potentiometer. For now, I try to convert my RJ-11 five wires connection shifter into USB four wires plug (to use with my keyboard) but like I said before, arduino stuffs is not really my department "(¬ . ¬)" I hope you enjoyed to read me (in despite of my english) but I will probably check for a Logitech G29 for the future "(= . =)"
