She could not capture the hollow sadness of the song as she was more focused on "performing" the song in front of an audience. Not every song is the tool to let the world how good/how trained singer you are.

Rightly said. Also her pitch is unnecessarily high. "Teri Khushboo Mein Base" part was harsh instead of subtle and heart touching. Only singing skills don't work we need to apply Dimaag as well while performing.

99% of time no one touch soul of the original song, but to praise this lady, this is the second best version I have listened till now, just to let anyone understand I have listened to many versions, no doubt she touched emotions many a times, cos singers like them cannot copy original song as it is, it will be boring to audience, they have to add their things to song
