It's interesting that in French to drive is "Conduire" and as soon as I found that out I thought of train conductors which in a way they "drive a train" or "get it going in a direction" so that helped me remember that word.

This was great..another question that I've been asking for years answered today by you Alexa .....and the explanation about why you are suppose to say, je m'appelle..I never knew what the m stood for, I just repeated the sentence because that's what I was taught to say from young..this video meant so much to me. Excellent lesson! You explained this SO well. I understand the concept of reflexive verbs. Washing one's self, etc makes sense. But, there are some verbs that I can't figure out WHY they're reflexive. Take "se souvenir" for example. "I remember that movie" becomes "Je me souviens de ce film". Why is that? In this example, I'm not "remembering myself", but I'm remembering something which has nothing to do with myself...a movie. If you have an explanation for this, I'd sure take it!

It's not that reflexive verbs are difficult, it's remembering which word ending goes with what context of sentences
