Not even exaggerating, there were 11 year olds committing shankings. It was insanity. Random civilians were getting shot or stabbed or rushed all the time, just because you were from another area even though you yourself weren't involved in the street life. Most shootings and stabbings didn't make the news back then, police didn't come to the ends often. Less cameras too, sooooo many people were getting away with murders back then. It used to be normal for blocks to have multiple guys that committed 3-6 murders and 20+ shootings. That's impossible now with cameras and other technology. Plus the street culture just isn't as intense as it used to be. It's way more acceptable to just go to school and be a good boy now. Back then being a good boy made you a victim so you turned to crime to get protection.
