Hi Diann. Thanks so much for your kind comments. Let's see how my invention works this week! I have my harshest critic testing them as well 😂. If I lived with snakes in a garden as you probably do I would probably feel different about them but this was this man's pet, somehow that felt safer 😂🐍. Hope you are well and life is improving in your area. Its Spains turn now, have you seen all the flooding? It's terrible, so many lives lost there. I may moan about England but we don't tend to suffer like other countries. Take care and have a good week 💕🍓💕

Hello Carole, I really like your lounge chair pockets. Maybe putting the Velcro strips the other direction would use less strips and be even more adjustable. Great pjs as well, thanks for sharing .
@socarole663 күн бұрын
Thanks so much for that suggestion. You had me thinking about the Velcro but I got away with one looped piece and I don’t think you could do that if you did it longways. It would have to be more than one looped strip to be as secure as it is. What I don’t want to happen is for it to fall on a wet floor. I did several strips to be on the safe side but I probably didn’t need to, a bit overkill perhaps! Thanks for the suggestion though as I love rethinking things 😁. 🧵

Oh my word yes!! I remember you making that pattern now. Did you make the top? It scared me that it was basically a square 😂. We will see how clever my invention is next week, I have a tough critic with me though! I thought you would like the pigs and did you know about Pannage season? The 'commoners' as they call it let their pigs out in the New Forest to eat up all the acorns etc as they are dangerous to the wild ponies and cattle. It dates back to 1079 would you believe! I just thought they were cute and so many varieties. Hope you have a good weekend and love you toooo 😘💗😘

I have the simplicity 9020 and have been wanting to sew the shorts and tee shirt for summer. I love the long pj bottoms and will definitely do them now too, but I bought some gauze fabric from Hobby Lobby to do the shorts and top. I, too, saw the top was a fabric hog, but that’s what I wanted for summer; something loose and comfortable. Thanks for sharing this pattern. I’m excited again about sewing it. Love your project, how clever 😊. I have a kindle too, and I’ll be watching for your full road test
@socarole663 күн бұрын
Thanks so much for watching. I did like the look of the top but when I saw it was almost a square I chickened out. I will certainly report back on the pockets, lets see if they need any design changes. Have a wonderful weekend oh and, a good old book for me, I can't get on with a kindle! 🧵😊

Hi, Carole! You are so brave, I would never be that close to any snake! I freak out when I have one in the chicken house, although I know it is not poisonous! That other thing looks dangerous and spickey. I just admire the way you figure out a problem, you must like puzzles and mysteries, me too. Your pjs look comfy, good to know about that pattern. This week I have been working on learning to use the Lutterloh system, it’s a little fussy, but I think I have now. I need to read directions much better. I will be sewing the vest from the leaflet that came with it. So far I think it was $60 well spent. Have a great trip, have fun and relax.😊
@socarole663 күн бұрын
Thanks Sue, I am not sure I was brave or just plain stupid 😂🐍. When we moved into our house there was a nest of Grass Snakes but in our country, we don't have much to fear do we, not like yours! As you say, I do love a puzzle and working things out but I am guessing I get that from my Father. Funny you should say about Lutterloh as I drew out a pattern yesterday to be completed when I get back. I am getting quicker and quicker now but still sticking to simpler designs. Good luck with the vest, I will admit I didn't make that but then I inherited my Mum's old system so didn't know about it. I just barged on in and made a top 😆. Hope you have a good weekend and week ahead and yes, I want to do a lot of relaxing if my body lets me and doesn't want to jump up and start going for walks! 🧵😊

Oh, attending a class with you at Sewing Studio would be so much fun! The main class I take is called Basic Sewing 4 which is like an intermediate type of class where we all work on whatever project we want to and then we get help from an instructor if and when needed. We have a lot of fun! And I also take a lot of the other classes offered, too. Next month, I'm taking a Christmas stocking class where I'll make a special stocking for Bella. I would love to embroider her name on it, too, but we'll see about that. Maybe I can get one of the machine sales ladies to use one of the embroidery machines on the floor to do it for me. Noooooo, I have not been to the Canary Islands. LOLOLOL...But although I've never had a snake around my neck, I have held an alligator. Ok, it was just a baby one and the mouth was taped shut so no harm!! LOLOLOL...

My ideas tend to come in groups (herds? flocks? traffic jams?!) which can be distracting when I'm trying to get something sewn. I've set up an 'album' in my gallery for ideas, and can now take a picture of the fabrics with the pattern, then put the whole thing back away. I've been able to move through projects more efficiently now 😘

Pjs and t-shirts and new inventions and snakes, oh my! You've been a busy girl Carole. I love the lounge caddy and will shamelessly copy you next summer if that's ok! I am always at a loss for where to safely put my 'stuff'. I've never seen the circle towels in the US either. But they are so cute. I have a challenge for you - next time you should make your own sewing machine carrying case. Start out with a smaller one to carry your iron in then work up! You are very creative, Carole! I love the book/phone holder for the beach but in particular I love the zippered pouch. Very useful! Do you know where I can find the pattern for it?

Thank you so much. The pouch pattern can be bought from Adam Sews. I will put the link into my description box. 🧵😊

Love your lounge organizer. Watch that you don't get sand in the velcro. You could use snaps if you are in really sandy Beach area in place of velcro. Have fun on Holiday!!

@ thanks so much for your comment. I love that you have thought of a possible pitfall with the Velcro. I think because the Velcro parts are under a towel they will be protected. If there were snaps I think I would feel those like 'The Princess and the Pea' story 😂. Let's see how it goes. Day one and I'm loving the pockets!! Thanks again 🧵😊

Hi! I am not getting notifications for your channel anymore. Anyone else having trouble?

Hi Lori. Sorry you aren't getting your notifications and I don't understand why that happens, one of those strange KZbin things. I would just try switching it off and on if you haven't already in settings. It has happened to me before and others I know. Thanks for caring! 🧵😊

Hi - I had my machine serviced and mine had been not working and they fixed it. I get my machines serviced at my house. If you want the details please send me a note and I will give you the details. I live in North Devon

Thanks so much for your comment. You get your machines serviced at your house?! That is a wonderful service, you never have to go without your machines. We are on the Dorset/Hampshire border so not sure we have anything like that over here. I would love the details in case they will come as far out as me though. 🧵😊

Couldn’t you have just manually threaded your machine til you had a good time to be without your machine ? I seldom use my threader.

Oh gosh yes I did! I'm not that lazy 😂. I do have various eyesight issues though and have had since I was a child so it isn't the easiest thing for me to do. I just wanted to make people aware that it was easily solved and they didn't have to pay for repairs etc. Have a good weekend 🧵😊
