basically all of Hwei's damage comes from landing his passive--if you get hit by one of his abilities, you just need to make sure you don't get hit by another separate ability. you could've dodged a lot of the damage if you had known that beforehand

I was kinda confused about what you said with axiom being gutted due to the mythic system removal, as there is no mythic that has lethality on a mythic passive (yonmu's grants AD). since axiom scales with lethality, shouldn't it be perfectly fine to build?

Yoummus actually granted a decent bunch of lethality due to its passive. It granted like up to 18 lethality over a deadmans like effect on top of the 18 lethality the item already have, a total of like 36 lethality.

as a game designer myself, I noticed there are so many design faults on these new items. Cyclosword make the buyer feel bad the longer the game goes because the bonus dmg doesn't scale. Hubris is like Mejai's with worst stats and you'll automatically loses the value if enemy plays safe, which is not within your control. For Mejai, at least player has the control of not to die and lose the stacks

I m going to be sincere, LOL îs a very hard game to balance and rather then doing that by making items less overpowered and game changing, which îs a boring way to try to solve the problem, Riot could maybe try making every item game changing and special then let players experiment and when an item becomes too much they should nerf it
