I like that this video allows viewers to really truly experience the Michael Larson game the way the live audience did that spring day in 1984: uninterrupted so the emotions and thoughts that ran through everyone's minds may be felt exactly the same way. That way viewers can truly relate to everyone who could only stand by as he pressed on.

Janie passing the spins to Michael at 16:59 was actually a pretty smart move on her part, and you can tell that he wasn't expecting it. He was one slip-up away from losing everything and she put all the pressure back on him by doing that. He finally did make a mistake on the very last spin, but got lucky and didn't hit a whammy.

They said that on the day of shooting, Michael showed up early. Eager to play, I guess, with his secret strategy, knowing it was going to be a big payday for him. I read in an article that Michael got the clothes he's wearing, not just the shirt, from a thrift store right after passing the interview. The shirt he's wearing must be a short-sleeved shirt because you can see his bare arms sticking out of the jacket instead of shirt cuffs like Ed is wearing. Michael came from Ohio to L.A. on a cross-country bus, I guess he couldn't afford an airplane. Well, I'm sure he could afford an airplane ride back home.

Honestly, it looks and sounds like the scorer made a mistake. You may have discovered a history-changing fact. It would not be unprecedented. For over a century, people thought Billy the id was left-handed. Kirk Douglas even did a movie about him called, "Left Handed Gun." It was all based on a photo showing Billy with his pistol set to crossdraw with the left hand. Then a few years back someone noticed that the rifle he was holding had the feed gate on the wrong side. It turns out that the picture was reversed. Tons of Old West history gone.
