For some reason, I've always been interested in them. They're quite a regular thing I see, most often, during my work shifts on the railroad, and there's something I can't quite put my finger on but each one of them, with the many different insulator designs make them sort of look like they have their own personalities; similar to that of some of the locomotives I work with as well.

I absolutely f**king love electricity pylons! When I was 3 years old my father asked me what I would like for Christmas, and I replied "A pylon."

Me too haha! I always had odd obsessions and pylons were one of them. I even wanted to be a “Pylon man” when I was little, I would always ask my parents “how tall is that one?”

When I was younger I had a phobia called Megaphobia which Is a fear of Pylons and other large objects. Nowadays they fascinate me as awe inspiring metal steel beasts that shouldn’t be there and are almost alien like. Yet there they are silently supplying us with power making the landscape looking even more pretty.

I love the lattice work and geometrically wonder of them. Set against sunsets or sometimes if you look down on them, they look like a gossima spider's Web. I've photographed French cats heads and Japanese red and white pylons. I don't know the types but still love masts and pylons. BTW John Most of them are 50 metres or 165ft tall.
