PYPL 2017 price $64 rev 13B net income 1.7B Now price $62.50 rev 27B net income 2.4B. Makes perfect sense🤷‍♂️.... Yeah I was a huge buyer today. I haven't owned this stock since 2019 and I can't believe this opportunity. Imo its one of the best PE ratio stock values you can find

I bought some shares at about $65. I don't see the stock staying that low for long, it should by all means trade at around $100 with current expectations, and possibly far more if the company is capable of executing and raising expectations

I see active user change (-ve) quarter to quarter a major concern with those dumping the stock. If they can bring back the growth, it could reverse in coming quarters.

Thing is though, they are targeting profitability (EPS) and growing transaction per user. Account growth is useless if they are people who don't spend.

As a Paypal customer, not a share holder, the company is actively pushing their own credit card. They want customers to become credit card customers. So far, I have not signed up for the Paypal Credit Card. But I may at sometime in the future.

Good analysis. I sold a put in April and fortunately did not get assigned. Don't lose your shares in cover calls. It will go up sometime.

The best strategy is to wait until it shows the rebound pattern, such as head and shoulder patter or you can see the price rebound twice then sell the out of money cash secure put for delta between 15 to 30 delta (i.e. you have 15 to 30 percent of chance of getting assigned) depending on how bad you don't want to buy the stock. That way you can be sure there are some sort of support at that price. Sell the cover call if you get assigned. Continue to sell the put if you don't get assigned. Another strategy is to sell the call credit spread. You don't lose the money if you don't own the stock.

I started buying at 215. Yea, was a bit early and it still went down heavily. But I am still buying now heavily because PayPal is going nowhere and I think it loooks similar to what happened with Meta. Now my cost basis is 100$ at 8% allocation. I will buy up to 10% allocation for short-mid term and reduce exposure.

Paypal had massive benefit from their relationship with ebay. I think it will be difficult for another single company to get such market penetration as they have - the only real company who can try is Apple.

Imo losing a lot of money in a position is never a good reason to keep it in your portfolio. Always ask yourself this: If I did not already own the stock, would I buy this today? If the answer is no, then sell it. Paypal is loosing market share to Apple and other competition. Its difficult to see how they can grow in the coming years. I may be wrong though.

We need to see facts when analyzing companies and not let sentiment affect the analysis. Apple has less than half the market share of Paypal. Apple can control their ecosystem but they cannot impose their Apple pay wallet on users other than their own phone/watch costumers. Also, Paypal is the most used e wallet service in Europe, so focusing on the sentiment that US seems to transmit in regards to Paypal is not an accurate picture of the overall company progression. I waited and waited and have now bought into it because I truly believe this is at a P/E that is totally worth it. Is it for sure going to go places? I don't know but saying this is a finished or no longer relevant company is a sentiment analysis rather than a factual one, I believe.

I bought 8600 stocks for 62$ … I am -5% right now. I bought it cus I think PayPal should reach the 80$ and then I will sell it. So my plan is a short time investment with a quick profit. But it also can drop down and my plans can’t realized … but I feel I am not wrong

Not wanting to be mean but this is not how you invest. Your valuation is totally based on putting a wet finger in the air and feeling it. You should have done some good valuations like a DCF model. If you don't do this then you do not know what is paypal is worth fundamentally and you are sure to hurt your own finances.
