To be fair, you know enough now to make a easy calculator. You could also probably make some sort of login and app so he did do a good job.

@@benvoisey3942 lol this was 4 months ago. I regret learning PyQt5 period. PY is good for backend and not great at GUI. Also, not cool to abandon a tutorial. I rather it just not be up at all. I could of spent that time on another tutorial that is complete. I don't want to split between 2 tutorials trying to accomplish the same thing, that's how you miss information. Anyways, Python, Java, html, css, Django = win

please release the next video of this series as soon as possible this is the best QT tutorial I've ever seen simple short useful and very easy to understand especially for me because I'm from Iran and I cant understand when the speaker spoke too fast or in some accents

Superb, very very useful. Just found Qt ( well Pyside6 now ), and seems few vids on Designer. The big vid will be on 'responsive' ui, that I cannot get my head around, every vid you find shows the simple either Vert or Horiz all or nothing example, but in a real app you do need to have some say buttons offset and fixed size but still need to be responsive overall. I mention the above as it seems your style of tutorial would be superb. Many thks for you time.

If we change the ui file and overwrite the python file again, won't all of your changes and methods disappear? How do we fix this issue? Can we inherit the class Ui_MainWindow in another py file? That is what I used to do in PyQt4 Thanks in advance.

I have a MainWindow with a frame inside it. I made the MainWindow to be maximized always but don't know ho to make the frame always to be in the center even when the window is resized. Please help me.

I'd want to know how these containers can be resized dynamically. In Lazarus IDE we have anchors of the widgets which allow them to proportionally resize when the form is resized, but in QT I'm still looking the equivalent.

How to make anything resizable (like a label or a lockable widget) by mouse-grabbing its border and drag it larger or smaller (whilst keeping some ratio preferably)? Point is that I try to make a chessboard and board is an image which I need to be able to drag it smaller or bigger.

If you need to save and basically recompile any GUI changes, how would you keep the code that sets up events such as a button click changing text or images etc, would that have to be put back in each time you make a change on the GUI?

A simple query tim , How can I add an gif image as background , I tried using Qlabel ,but the image in final result remains still and there is no animation of Gif image . Show what is the way to do that in specially in Designer not manually

Try using the stylesheet property in QtDesigner. Choose background image resource file. There are a bunch of videos online on how to set the StyleSheet and use a .qrc(Resource File). Then do Ctrl+R to show the how the window would look when run.

Hi Tim, Is that possible to upload one more video about qt designer modification? I mean if I add some function in py file, but it all erased after ui file been modified and re-generate to py file. Create a separate .py file. Define a new class there which has a window object. Now import the second file into the main file and call the function from the class you defined in the second file.
