The most notable occurrence of this was with the category "Attractive Things" The clue giver said "magnets" and got buzzed because it wasn't following the same line as the other clues. Dick even said "Magnets attract, so that makes them attractive" After the commercial break, they reversed the ruling and gave the contestant the $25,000

Saw this on 100,000. The category was things in a castle. The fist clue that was given was a moat. Should the contestant have been disqualified. The most is outside the castle not in the castle. On the show the clue was allowed and the contestant won 50,000

There was one disqualification I remember a while back...Jamie Farr had PARTS OF A GUN and said "a revolver." The judge gave him the automatic zap. After the commercial was over, Dick was at his podium with the dictionary and said this: Revolver--a handgun. Not only off topic, but a definition unfortunately. The judge was right to zap Jamie.

Yes, because a revolver is a kind of gun, not part of a gun; because the category was "parts of a gun," he could have said "trigger," "barrel," or "grip" (those would have fit the subject).
