Everyone always talks about Tahoe, but depending on who you talk to, Pyramid Lake in Reno Nevada might be the favorite lake among locals. No, Pyramid Lake isn't going to be surrounded by the snow capped Sierra Nevada mountain range, but it has it's own beaty being surrounded by giant rock formations. Some say Pyramid Lake is haunted, and others come to the lake in search of trophy Lahontan Cutthroat Trout. Regardless, if you are fishing, camping, boating or off-roading Pyramid has something to offer everyone. Great video. I was up at Pyramid lake a few years ago. It was fire season at the time and it was smokey AF. Even with the smoke it was still beautiful. I'm pretty sure they allow you to shore launch a trailered boat from the beach there.
