I’ve had Pyramids for at least two years now, and got lost in the controls so easily that I’ve stuck with two or three settings max... this video reminded me why I chose this over all other flangers. Time for some sonic adventures! Thanks for the explanations 😁

wonderful pedal for guitar, synths and vocals, getting a lot of use out of this one... love the Sun Ra inspired art on this and Astral Destiny! Adds extra magic to them!

@4:25 Excitebike!!! Yeah, this video sold me. Wasn’t sure I wanted a flanger, but this seems so versatile.

Hoping for more guide videos leading to emulate phaser. I got the pedal but still on the process of exploring the wilderness of pyramids. Definitely my favourite one is the oscillation effects to fill gaps or by using it in a transition. Wanted to learn more on its versatility. In a way that almost can do all modulation effects. BTW I got rainbow machine, hummingbird v1, pyramid for modulation. Palisades and acapulco gold for dirt. Avalanche Run and afterneath V3 for time effects. And tone job for tone shaping. Any recommendation? 😅 Yup, i am a fan of EQD and only EQD pedals can make in my board. 😅

Just got this one on reverb. I am slowly becoming a huge EQD fanboy. Lol first the avalanche run and now onto this.

Awesome I was never really into flanges until I had a really good sounding one that you and I are cheap modulated multi-effects pedal so I was just trying to find my analog one being picky so this does not have the option to use a footswitch pedal or expression pedal I mean when I think of slander that's pretty much all I want to do is control it via expression pedal

Great video! Question - Can it take both instrument and line level signals right out the box?
@EarthQuakerDevices11 ай бұрын
All of our devices have been designed to be used at instrument level, but may also be used with equipment that has a line level output. However, you will need to watch the output level and adjust it accordingly so that it does not clip or distort the pedal. Clipping the input of a pedal will not cause damage but will push your signal into clipping or distortion and may sound unpleasant.

Im a fairly new guitarist, and a lot of the tech terms in this video are just technobabble gibberish to my ears, but the pedal sounds amazing, and im thinking about getting one down the road.

Would it be blasphemy if Earthquaker Devices made their own all-in-one multi-effects unit? I could see it being amazing and unique for the market though some might argue it wouldn't be as charming and full of character as each individual EQD pedal brings.

cool, the flanger extreme sounds I was searching for, the only parameter missing for me @EarthQuakerDevices is a "real" width control, managing the mono to full stereo width of the flanger: it can be controled directly in the DAW but it's not as direct as a dedicated knob on the pedal of course

Hey can someone tell me if this unit can do Boss flanger types tones a la Adam Jones? I’m looking for a versatile flanger than can do lots of stuff, but that sound is a must. Thanks.
@codyhowell45434 ай бұрын
If you're looking for versatile, this is what you'd probably want. It can do all the normal flanger stuff that you think of when you think of flanger, but it can also do lots of cool and weird other stuff. I do not own one of these pedals and have never used one, but I've watched a few other videos on the pedal, and that's what almost all of them said about it.

Hey how do I assign the expression pedal to different parameters? Cant find a video on this and the instructions it came with dont say
@N0iseM4k3r3 ай бұрын
As far as I know you can't, exp control is assigned to the manual knob
@EarthQuakerDevices3 ай бұрын
@EthanRMus Sorry for the slow reply! The expression is assigned to the Manual and you can't assign it to the other knobs.

The craziest (hardware stomp) flanger I own is a Line 6 "Liqua Flange"...yeah, yeah, Line 6, get your laughs out of the way...yeah, yeah, it's digital, I'll give you a minute on that, too...Okay then. Anyway, it's actually a killer pedal; even more so for someone who uses flanging and modulation more than I do.. I mostly do 1 and 1/2- chord, slovenly, grandmaw-offending garage/punk rock, but I do love strange efx pedals. I'm tempted to think this is even deeper than the Liqua Flange, and the LF has a dozen + distinct modes, and then those modes are subject to an overall "Analog/ "Liquid"...don't ask me.../ Digital mode, or treatment... Meh, I can't speak English today or something...Anyway, this looks to be a great flanger. I've got 3 EDs stomps as of now, and I need to get more. That'll be a matter of working up the guts/stupidity of telling my landlord to go and commit obscene acts with himself just for this month. Lol. Great dev. You guys I dare say are on an even higher, more sublime plane than Electro Harmonix, 'scuse my blasphemy. Greets from Texas.

I have this and want so badly to love it, but the mix and feedback controls are far too severe, as far as making your signal too loud and processed, respectively. Also, the random function would be much better if it randomized rate as well. Love you guys, but just some constructive criticism...

Are you running it direct or through your effects loop because I had that same problem with the avalanche but fixed it by running through the fx loop

Leslie? Vibrato? Chorus + trem? bruh they are all basically the same thing just with different execution. and I know plenty of people will argue to hell and high water the differences, but seriously no layman can tell the difference. have fun lugging your Leslie to every gig.
