So Reactr M bigger than Scorch M, right? How about gear carrying ability with that tail? I got a Scorch L at 6', 180lb but feel it's big as a daily driver and waterfall boat, but the M would've been too small for multidays at 82 gal. Extra boat in the quiver (in addition to half slice and playboat) would be sweet but not in the books. Cheers!

It's a more generous size, sure, and although the tail is a lower volume design, it's also a touch wider, and the lower seat and completely detachable backrest make it way easier to gain access back there, so you'll probably be able to carry a similar amount of gear - Bren certainly had a good amount of gear in the back in Brazil, but he's a bit lighter and shorter than you - you'll need to demo to be sure!

Size wise, I feel in between the medium and large scorch. will the medium reactr feel larger than the medium scorch? thanks

The sizing of the ReactR is more generous than the Scorch, so a Medium ReactR will likely suit you well!

There absolutely will be! We'll be cutting the plug soon, and will release more info on specs and timeframe as soon as we have it!

How is this going to compare to the Scorch?

The ReactR is a lot more maneuvrable, and opens up new possibilities like a variety of methods to be able to boof - i.e. you can sweep boof when flat, use the pivot hull to just have a way easier time boofing regularly, or crank the boat on edge and double pump for enormous air. It's just a whole new experience, while still allowing for your 'standard' paddling style which you might use in any other creeker.

Would you say the Reactr makes transitioning from a play boat and that "style" of paddling, as you mentioned the double pump which I have never heard mentioned of when paddling a creeker, (whooo hooo) easier?

@@slicebo good question, and yes, we imagine it would! More from the manoeuvrability perspective, though, especially with a hard-chined planing hull and the way it'll swing round on the spot flat, or you can do low-angle pivot turns/double-pump boof/etc. - the difference is, this has the waterline length when you need it for carrying momentum horizontally through a feature or getting some decent speed.

Yessir - we've spent a lot of time in development and testing to make sure it brings all the advantages of a cleat system, while adding some extra benefits, fixing the issues, and moving away from the cons of a ratchet system. Don't knock it until you've tried this specific one.
