I just ordered a raw quartz-pyrite and seller indicated not laboratory made and not man-made and that it came straight from the gold mine. So I'm kinda curious to see and inspect it having quartz with it. I'm planning to place on the left wealth corner of my apartment to attract abundance and also for protection. Thank you for your input! You're really a true Virgo, very detailed and organized explanation. ❤️ More power to your channel! 👍💗💗💗

Geez thanks. Thats why my bracelet is more darker than my necklace. That explains that my necklace is chalcopyrite which i find much more beautiful.

Can I submerge a pyrite tumbled stone in an oil for a crystal infused oil to use on the body? I would leave it in the oil indefinitely. Can’t find information on oil and pyrite anywhere!
@satincrystals3 жыл бұрын
Sarah, I would definitely not recommend placing Pyrite in oil. It is a very brittle stone and can easily crumble. If you know that your piece has been well stabilized then it might be OK but otherwise I would definitely keep it out of liquids.

Do you keep it as any other crystal? Because the pyrite disease can be from humid air too. I'm kinda scared just having it in space, but I'll see. I now spray my room less with the cleansing sprays, and will use more of smoke cleansing near pyrite.
@satincrystals2 жыл бұрын
I do because it’s so random if the disease will strike. There’s really no telling, but you are correct in trying to keep the humidity down for better odds!

I have a pyrite bracelet with little white flecks on the bead. Is that pyrite disease or natural inclusions? It’s smooth and very well blended within the pyrite. You mentioned in the video that the disease is white crusty. Mine is not. Would you recommend to remove that particular bead?
@satincrystals Жыл бұрын
It sounds like an inclusion or vein, if it is not encrusted on the outside of the stone.
@jacquelina1149 Жыл бұрын
@@satincrystals yes ma’am no crusting on the stone surface. It’s nicely integrated within the crystal structure. Thanks so much for your reply. I got scared and I took the bead off right away and rebeaded my whole bracelet. Then I thought let’s not do that so I rebeaded it back lol with that bead. I’m glad I did. Thank you 🙏🏾

Hi I would like to know if pyrite can't be used and if there's pyrite disease what should we do if the can't remove if is on the small out its cluster?
@satincrystals3 жыл бұрын
Hi Gwen, We do not recommend handling pyrite disease. You can keep it as a display piece, although it may continue to disintegrate overtime or you can put it in your garden/potted plants.
@gwenng88943 жыл бұрын
@@satincrystals i see.. My pyrite haven't reach me so was just wondering if dont want to keep anymore how do we discard? :) Just want to know as knowledge. And because my country is humid sometimes so how to maintain pyrite to decay/rot? Thank that i saw this video of yours, your videos are very short and informative. 👍

Hi. Is pyrite safe to wear? Many people on the internet say it is toxic. Now I don't know if I should wear my pyrite donut...
@satincrystals3 жыл бұрын
Hi Selene, it is perfectly safe to wear. From our Pyrite article where you learn all about Pyrite: Pyrite sometimes falls into the dangerous stone category because it can contain trace amounts of arsenic. However, once crystallized, the arsenic in Pyrite is not dangerous to you. Pyrite can not dissolve and absorb into your body as a crystal, so there is no threat when touching it. Even Pyrite decomposition disease is not harmful to you as a crystal enthusiast. It can be harmful to the crystal, but not to you!

If my pyrite is polished do I have to worry about the oxidization that you mentioned in the video?
@satincrystals3 жыл бұрын
Yes, polished Pyrite can still get Pyrite disease, especially if it has open cracks and veins on the surface.

I have a big piece of shiny pyrite and I think it can be not obvious on that shiny surface if it has that pyrite disease, so how can I make sure that my pyrite is all good and if there is disease then is it dangerous to touch it or surfaces near pyrite ?
@satincrystals Жыл бұрын
You can learn more about Pyrite here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fYLdpq1mi8mLsK8. Touching it will not be dangerous, but large levels of Pyrite dust inhaled over a long period of time, may pose a threat.

Can pyrite be green and leave little glitter pieces?
@satincrystals3 жыл бұрын
Hi, pyrite is known for its gold color which is why it’s called fools gold. However in its powdered form you could see a tinge of greenish-black and it could look sparkly. However as a stone itself, it would not look green. It could be an inclusion within green stones, perhaps that is what you are referring to? Or you could have a dyed or coated green Pyrite. It is popular to electroplate or coat Pyrite in titanium or other metals for it to look different colors.

My pyrite is gold coloured and is covered in flat edges, tiny sparkly square type shapes and its palm sized, quite large. I bought it in the British Museum when I visited as a teenager. The pyrite I see on eBay doesn't look sparkly like mine and it seems very expensive for a small size, but mine is larger and cost me about £3.50. Also yours looks silver..
