This song is interesting cause there are so many interpretations. For me, it's about a person coming out of depression. They learn to let themselves hope, to let themselves love, and to soften their heart allowing themselves to get hurt and still go on with a soft heart.

Now that I finally understand the lyrics (share your road, not share you bro), this song just got a lot deeper for me. To me it sounds like trying to remember and apply words of wisdom is difficult when you're actually facing a crisis, and feeling hopeless because of it. Having the cast of Horrible Bosses do the music video kind of distracted from that.

Don't give up, because you may have failed a thousand times. He WILL share your road, meaning your struggles, and he will carry you through them. Your not perfect, none of us are, but YOUR NOT ANY LESS VALUABLE TO HIM! Yes, learn to be content with the skies your under now, to love yourself as he does, with all your imperfections. But also, don't stop there!!! Keep growing in him, and trying to follow his ways. Don't lose the flaming desire in your heart to follow him. For me it's about a person not letting anyone in but hopping that somebody finds them and saves them. "In the dark I have no name" meaning without the people you love you are nothing. " You heard my voice, I came out of the woods by choice." Somebody finally hears them and that person wants to go out and be free, and so on.

That's amazing, I came here looking for meaning in the lyrics: "when I lose my head, I lose my spine" but I found some folks who are getting by as best they can like me. I know it was 5 months ago but I hope you're still clean and doing okay, but if not, it's okay, we all stumble sometimes, keep at it and you'll make it to the top of that hill. And then you'll realise it was just a foot hill and you'll climb higher and higher to things you though once far from your grasp. (sorry if I sound pretentious, good luck! )

Just like from where you come from, different parts of the country pronounce things a little different. Another reason is because of the way he sings. As one person sings, he or she will slightly change the way a word sounds so it will not interrupt the flow of the song. Those are the only ones I can think of right now, hope it helped!
