Truth to be told, Outside kinich and the raiden team traveller doesn't seem to be good even with calcs in this video. He's not great as dps. Nor is he great as subdps. Just pyro kachina that can hold scrol set. No wonder creators aren't making videos about traveller. Since Mavuika is an archon almost everybody is going to pull for her anyway. So a lot of people are looking for a mavuika guide and not a traveller. Supply and demand bro.

@@dnyaneshkale9540 a lot of people were disappointed with Mavuika as well (me included) Also, Kachina gives absolutely 0 buffs besides her C4 that increases DEF.... Pyro Traveler C1 already makes him better than her.

Hopefully pyro traveler's longevity is better than the other travelers that came out. That being said if cryo is leagues above I would not mind.

Technically the pyro traveler did have no longevity to them at all because they were release at the same patch as mavuika who is just a better version of the traveler But the pyro traveler is good and mavuika or even c4 xiangling aren't always accessible for people to have when they pull for characters that needs pyro off field like kinich for example

Thank you so much for this video Noir. The traveler is my favourite character but most people don’t do guides for them. So far I like them a lot in two teams: - Arlecchino, Bennet, Pyro MC, Xingqiu or Yelan. - Chasca C2, Bennet, Pyro MC, Furina. I tested them thoroughly, their application is slow enough that they don’t steal vaporize if used correctly. They Vaporize their damage, give the 4pc Scroll buff and 6-15% DMG Bonus with their C1. I won’t get Emilie so unfortunately they aren’t good with my Kinich. I tried using Furina but they don’t provide enough Pyro application to allow Kinich to recharge his Skill consistently. I don’t have Mualani either. I’ll try the teams with them as on-field DPS you suggested once I’ll have their C6.

I've also found pyro traveler a lot better than people are acting, especially with lofi. Is there any reason you don't recommend them with Neuvilette? Since my partner had to give her Xilonen to her Mavuika, Traveler had seemed like a decent replacement for her Neuvilette team from my testing.

I calculated it with Neuvillete but it seemed to be a lot worse than other options and not worth recommending

I usually assume that Hoyo just neuters the damage of every Traveler, so I never looked at the multipliers. It's actually insane that Pyro MC would have comparable DPS to Yoimiya and Klee, let alone exceed it. There's still some upsides to both of them (Yoimiya's comparative ease of use, and Klee's AoE + Kazuha synergy), but I'm actually excited to be able to use Traveler in abyss outside of Dendro

Yeah - a DPS is definitely not what I personally wanted out of Pyro Traveler, but its definitely a huge step up and breath of fresh air compared to the previous Travelers. Hoping Cryo Traveler can be a good Cryo applier and buffer!

​@@GxGNoirPyro is regarded as a most offensive element in all genshin (it's represended in the loading bar where the pyro is at the leftmost position). So adding offensive values for pyro traveler is much needed and makes it lore accurate (i mean he wielded mav's claymore togehter with her)

i knew pyro traveler was very good as soon as i saw the multiplier for a pyro char. If you can't do damage with pyro traveler, its just that you suck... this time around its a very good unit.

While I still think dendro traveler is king, pyro traveler has definitely surprised me. They are a watered down version of mavuika, but that makes him a decent sub dps in abyss when I already have mavuika on the other team. I just wish his skil would last longer, they basically force u to go sac sword. Glad to see content creators finally showcasing him!

Yeah I wish the duration was just slightly longer at least so they can work properly with Mualani...seems like a massive oversight that it expires exactly too soon for her Burst to Vape lol

Just one thing pyro traveler isnt c6 rn you need to offer the flint ore and this is unlocked doing tribe reputation and we are missing one last tribe. So they dont have their own pyro infused normal attacks yet ( you can work around it with Bennet) my critisism with off field is the skills duration and cd. You almost need sac sword.

Normal attack C6 traveler will be the best. Obsidian codex and he can get 75% crit rate, 330% crit damage on normal attacks.

why the hell would you leave CR at 75? if CD is 200 or above, it's better to raise CR to 100% than further increase CD. with that ratio you're losing 25cv's worth of DPS value compared to 100/250 (which has the same cost) i personally prefer to leave CR low to mid 90ish though because of that one crit abyss card. gotta leave some room for that.

@ My own traveler lol. I put a uraku mitsugiri on him, obsidian codex and some really good crit rolls on the set. Right now he has 35% rate and 290 crit damage but he gets 40% rate from set and will get 40% cd from C6.

If I could make two little changes I’d give them just a little more uptime on their Skill and a way to disable the Pyro application of their Skill while attacking on-field. I wish this game could be modded. I would have a lot of fun rebalancing my characters.

Right now with the c6 i can hit some big numbers with folier incision. I use c6 diona, kaeya, andy kazuha for the infusion. Sometimes.i get pyro sometimes i dont but consistently, I get anywjere from 180k to 230k burst after the hold skill use and sometimes i see the hold skill get 30 to 40k melts in..

Cinder city can still be triggered by traveller's nightsoul blessing but traveller is not from natlan so cannot trigger nightsoul burst

@@lowkeydelayed980 Traveler is technically not from Natlan despite having Nightsoul, so as a result it is true that if there's no actual Natlan character on the team, Traveler will not get the 2pc effect of Scroll, as there will be no Nightsoul Burst

For raiden overload, I think traveler does more damage if built for EM. I don't have calcs to back this up, though I've heard even Xiangling is better built for EM on raiden overload teams. I'm doubtful that pyro traveler's multiplier damage is better than xianglings, so do you think you could try to run the calcs with him on EM instead? I was kinda hoping this would be the team where he'd be BiS, seeing as Mavuika can't compete with him since she doesn't work with Raiden. Especially for a high investment (C2R1) Raiden, where buffing her is better than getting Xiangling's damage (and Bennett is of course a technically better option but his lack of off field pyro makes him terrible in multiwave).

Xiangling is definitely not better on EM. For Traveler, I find that a bit strange because they only apply Pyro 4 times with their Skill DoT, as well as once with burst and once with skill cast, so that's at most 6 overloads

man i put a random build on my traveler , its not optimized, and traveler with furina bennet and citlali did 465k burst.. im pretty sure if people put effort he can easily do 800k. I have no idea why people are not showcasing pyro Mc at all.

Diluc is unironically one of the top 10 DPS in the game with Citlali and Xianyun, imo the 4th best pyro dps behind Mavuika Alrecchino and Jamal(Gaming), Traveler does not come close

Pyro traveler is not as good as dendro traveler most likely because that was unintended/accidental as a result of introducing a new element, with its set of mechanics. The pyro traveler is very solid and fits well both in the Natlan/nightsoul system as well as in previous/existing rotations. There's often so much focus on perfection, top tier performance and meta that people easily forget how something "mid" can play a major cornerstone based on context and availability. This character being free, although locked behind a quest, is a major thing.

Not sure if it was so accidental. Dendro Traveler's AoE is much better than Collei, for example - also it's the only element that gets DMG bonus in the kit (sure, not enough application to use it at its fullest, but it's a good scaling nonetheless)!

Personally, my opinion is Pyro Traveler is a lot better than Dendro Traveler. Dendro Traveler has some of the ugliest energy requirements in the game, which as a result give them very low personal damage, on top of providing very little buffing. Then on top of that, they are circle impact, application is slow, and burst only lasts 15 seconds. They only seemed good because we didnt have actually good dendro characters yet
