I find it shocking that a film, complaining about the struggles of being tall, didn't address any of the health issues that come with it. Me and my family are very tall so we often can't comfortably in most chairs without bending our knees out or having back and joint pains because you have to bend all the way down to cook or clean. Ironically the girl only complains about being judged and bullied for her height which in reality, being tall is liked and respected by others most of the time.

Strong agree. I was very tall at one point in my life (I had to have spinal surgery which ended up shrinking me) and I had a bunch of medical problems from it. Basically, I grew faster than my body could handle (that's an over-simplification, but it gets the gist across) and so my body was in a real bad place for a long time. This isn't a cry for sympathy - the various problems have been solved and I'm healthy now, but Tall Girl 2 could have had a good point. Basically, after Jodi gains acceptance, things start to go wrong with her health. The moral could be that just because something seems minor (how bad is being tall anyway?) doesn't mean it can't have larger issues behind the scenes. Issues that the average person might not consider. A lesson in empathy, in the fact that everyone has their own issues, and sometimes those issues CAN be serious.

@Only1CookieMan it didn't help that one of her first lines in the first movie was: "You think your life is hard?" Which only comes off as incredibly arrogant and entitled, especially for people with actual serious problems watching this or even people who suffered more serious bullying during school. She's not wrong at all when she said that the fact that there were much worse problems than being tall out there don't invalidate her own suffering, but they never show her suffering anything other than being called ridiculous names and being pranked once, all the while having a million things going her way. Neither of these movies tried to show the actual bad sides of being tall, like any of your examples, just the most unrealistic bullying ever that doesn't even make sense at the end of the day because she was not even that much taller than everyone else in the school, and you just had to look at the background characters for five seconds to figure that out.

14:21 As a gymnast, I thought I should add that tall people aren't necessarily less coordinated, but it is typically harder for them to do task that involve acrobatics or precision movement. I have seen so many tall people come into the gym for lessons and within a few weeks they quit with how far they get behind. I'm not sure on the science behind it, but it has gotten to the point that we start making bets when we see a taller person come in. Of course, there are outliers, but, based off of what I've seen, this line seems to be accurate.

Now I’m not the tallest person ever, 5’7”, but I was a gymnast since a child till about 15-16. My sister, 5’1”-5’2”, was also a gymnast for the same time as me. Even at my height I was taller than all the girls in the gym and it was tough on the bars but I was okay on floor/vault. My sister on the other hand got her front and back handspring down faster than me. She even was on team for a few years. Being tall in gymnastics isn’t impossible but it is definitely more difficult

I want to see a Tall Girl 3 but the opening 10 minutes will focus on a random man who was fired for not meeting his quota at the bottle factory due to his arthritis. His house is repossessed by the bank as collateral for being unable to pay his bills. He spends all his money on camping supplies and canned goods, and after a day of begging, he comes back to his camp to discover some hoodlums destroyed everything while he was away. He sits on the curb and sulks outside of the movie theater, which was a source of happiness during his youth. He has no money for food or drinks or even tickets. Then a kind stranger gives him 30 bucks and tells him to treat himself. He goes into the movie theater and gets snacks, a drink, and a ticket to see a movie . He enters the room and takes the only open seat, behind our titular tall girl. The man politely asks her to switch seats with him, for she is very tall and blocking his vision. Jody rudely declines his request and proceeds to explain how tall women are discriminated against and how he should be more open minded. It's at this moment one of the staff walks up with their flashlight, they ask what's the problem. Jody then says that the homeless man was harassing her. The staff then kick the homeless man out of the theater without his popcorn and drink. Then, the rest of the movie focuses on Jody and her little problems.

I know making fun of this movie is le funny but one weird thing is that Jodie has panic attacks and frequent anxiety while worrking on a musical The thing is that the actress that plays her loved dancing and went to a reality show called Dance Moms. There, she went through some weird shit and was never able to dance or think about it without having a panic attack I know it's kinda crazy but there is a chance that this influenced the movie script or explains how she was able to deliver a good performance of how anxiety looks like
