That "test my game" hack is actually extremely dangerous. A friend of mine had that happen to them and he had to reinstall his entire PC because all his passwords and stuff got hacked. The rat actually sends your chrome password list and everything to the hacker and he had his crypto password and such locked up in a password manager too which apparently got hacked as well. He had to change passwords EVERYWHERE and his entire pc was compromised. It took him about a week before he was back and actually got his discord account back too.

Funny thing is that people from my *own* server try to give me these scams, and on top of that they ignore the fact that my bio says *programmer* and *Uni CS Student*. The fake screenshot shows me pretending to be a... beginner graphic design artist. Fucken' hell man.

Its worse than you think, theres been people who send me fake dms of me saying slurs and what not (obviously its fake), and they then demand I join their discord server to "clear" my name. Its obviously a scam, but the fact they go to this extent is really dark and disturbing. Honestly, I can easily see this causing PTSD to people who go through it.

my username in roblox was "peeversion" and then the account got deleted for the first time since 2017 (6 years) because apparently the username was hinting to the word "pervert" and, i was only 11 years old when my innocent self made the account. I copied my friends username which was "pooversion" and changed it to "peeversion". But luckily i appealed and got the account back :) funny story, isnt it?

Tbh, people running discord scams are either children or predators; so it might be effective for their degenerate peers, but not for normal people who’re not a 4chan user with a burner Twitter acc… (Not saying you are btw brother/sister) Best rule of thumb is to instantly block any unknown users or numbers who’re “informing” you of something you have 0 recollection of. Just assume anything is a scam if you’re contacted suddenly; because if it’s not, then you’ll for one - not be questioning it, and two - hear it with context. Scams tend to make you feel guilty or uneasy, because that’s a tactic they use to manipulate people. Also: if someone is continuously trying to reassure you that they are trying to help you or aren’t a scam, then they definitely are. Real support or real customer service don’t have that paranoia or insistence of scams. Stay safe, and question this shit.
