The only streamers I know who I think will keep most of their viewcount after they catch up with the story are Grinding Gear. They do like one or two patches a month (unless its a .0) and all the other time they stream it's extremes, other expansion content, etc. When they do extremes (always blind, min ilvl, no echo) their viewership is basically the same as when they're doing the MSQ (around 2-4K.) Relatively small channel with under 30K subs but with a very, very dedicated base.

Recently found them over a month ago. One of my absolute favorite FFXIV streamers right now. I think with the way they are pacing the content, they will be done 6.5 by the time 7.0 comes around. So they should be good for a while. Really enjoy their content. They are a channel where they are doing everything right, in my opinion. I am eagerly awaiting their 5.5 stream. I will continue to watch their channel long after they finish FFXIV.

He constantly mentioned wanting more sandbox elements in the game and that for a while it’s the story that been keeping him coming back to the game. With EW being the natural ending the big primal arc he said that it felt like a good place to step away. And so he did.

That difficulty with impulse control, especially when unmedicated, can easily result in the kind of rants and meltdowns- "anger issues" is one of first criteria that is used to diagnose the condition, especially in children. Basically, he was an ungrateful slob irl who took advantage of his girlfriend to keep his life functioning while treating her like shit. She eventually made it public and the community pretty much dropped him like a hot potato. As Xeno said, he basically said this was a big wake-up call for him, so he stopped streaming for about a year, started doing social work, got into therapy and so on. For the last...two? tiers or something he's been back to streaming XIV to a small community. I'm not a huge stream watcher in general so I can't say if the positive change he's had by the time he came back to streaming has vanished since, but he actually did change quite a bit during that year off, so I'd say he's actually a positive example of how taking a step back from streaming and getting your personal issues under control CAN be done, but ofc that's assuming the change was permanent.

My opinion on the whole Tyler/Pyromancer debacle is as follows: When he's mellow and excited, sort of like a kid when they see something that awes them for the first time, I like it. To some extent we're all like that with XIV. What drives me nuts is how he goes off kilter in the space of a hair's breath for nothing whatsoever. I understand he has mental issues. Hells, I do too and truth be told, worse by diagnosis than he does. I also understand that interaction(s) are affected by this. But seriously, man, come on. If, based on a medical video he had up on the subject of his main issue mental health wise, and I don't discredit it by any means, but if anything it makes my case. If you blow up suddenly; you've realized you've done so you need do only three things: apologize, excuse yourself for a bit to calm down and then return and apologize again and explain what set you off and if the people in chat did it unknowingly, ask them not to again. If they did so to get you to blow up, ban them. Why tank your career because of idiots and your own lack of self control? But I digress

I'm really not sure where GingerPrime got this weird idea that Pyromancer threatened to sue him, or if it's something he just invented in his head over time and he actually believes it, but as someone who's been close to Pyro and modded for him for over two years, I can say that, to the best of my knowledge legal action was never something we even considered using against him or his channel. We did copyright strike one of his videos (just one), but legal action? We've not even humoured that idea against Xenos here, who's fixating on Pyro a lot more and is doing more damage to Pyro's image than Ginger ever could. You can still think of Pyro as you wish, and I know for many this changes nothing, but this is a serious allegation here that I wanted to straighten the facts about. I've been seeing a lot of untrue rumours going around lately just from people that just want to villainize Pyro, and this is one I wanted to clear up.

That sounds about right.... his entire video was basically just rambling through a rehash of what Xeno had already said in his videos, with basically no new information whatsoever aside from that one wild claim that he put ZERO evidence to back up. Not like he's a very trustworthy source himself, so honestly this just feels like someone figuring out he could jump on the bandwagon and grab some attention as a "victim" of the current "bad guy" (Pyro) over one copyright claim. That said, you can only provide your personal perspective too, and no one can say what Pyro potentially did without consulting his mods. I doubt you guys signed off on any of the other (well-documented) shit he's said and done due to his poor impulse control, so I don't find it hard to believe that he didn't always consult you on everything he did.

I can indeed only provide my own perspective, but I can say that Pyro does consult his mod team on a great many things and we do what we can to help and counsel him, not just as part of his team, but as his friends also. I'd like to think legal action against another creator is something he would run by us. Plus, we showed this video to Pyro earlier, and even he had no recollection of threatening legal action against Ginger. Also not wrong about the poor impulse control. It's his own worst enemy at times, and as someone who also has ADHD, I do understand how it happens. Oh how I wish he talked to any of us before sending those infamous tweets that got us here, lol.
