Ok, i made some research and it seems these are the lyrics: 裁かれた黙る土 >The convicted ground which nothing says. 重き雲のすきまから(差しこむ光) >(sunshine streamed) from the crevice between heavy clouds. (差しこむ光)つつみこむ >and is surrounded in light. 広大な水の広がりを虹がわたり >A rainbow passes through the vast spreading water, その彼方から新しい空を始める >and a new sky grows far away.

Just wrote up another translation. 裁かれた黙る土 The convicted soil lies silent 重き雲のすきまから Embraced by light 差しこむ光つつみこむ Streaming in between the heavy clouds ただ流れ沈み行く Flowing and sinking without end うねりと弓なりの(汀)渚にそそぎ Pouring into the rising and falling edge of the tide あふれる光 つつみこむ The overflowing light envelops it 広大な水の広がりを虹がわたり A rainbow crosses the vast waters その彼方から新しい空を始める In the distance, a new sky is born Funny thing is that 汀 (migiwa) and 渚 (nagisa) mean the same thing (the edge of the water) but are different words

This track has a very melancholic quality to it. It's like something you would hear as you survey the ruined landscape of a _flooded_, post-apocalyptic world.

The judged quiet earth From a crack in the heavy clouds The light shines and wraps around As it simply continues to flow And pours into the curved seashore Overflowing light Wraps around A rainbow spans the vast water Beyond that, a new sky commences

I was wondering this myself. After a few hours of squinting at what I thought might be lyrics on the packaging, copying and pasting from various Wikipedia pages and websites about kanji (I don't know any Japanese), and generally trying to figure out exactly what I was looking at... 裁かれた黙る土 重き雲のすきまから 差しこむ光つつみこむ ただ流れ沈みゆく うねいと弓ないの汀にそそぎ あふれる光 つつみこむ 広大な水の広がいを虹がわたい その彼万から新しい空を始める Those are definitely the lyrics. They don't translate so well online, but phonetically, everything matches up.

OK this is a real mad request and i don't expect anyone will know what I'm referring to here but I think maybe a little under a year ago I found in similar entries to this video an Italian rock band that had lifted the entire melody of the climax of this song and made a completely separate song out of it. I couldn't believe the balls of it! Does anyone know which song I'm referring to? I'm trying to click through similar videos and i'm having no luck finding it. The algorithm must have buried it by now. Such a weird novelty to stumble on, I wonder if anyone else saw it?

I don't know what happened to your other reply, but you're absolutely right. I never would have caught the difference between ri and i since they look and sound so similar. But I totally see it now. I know very little about Japanese and knew even less when I transcribed this. It was mostly guesswork and luck-I definitely didn't realize that り had two strokes in some fonts. So, the million dollar question, then: can you offer a better English translation than Google Translate? Thanks!
@allpurposenothing11 жыл бұрын
Aaaand KZbin killed all my line breaks. The only other thing worth noting is that even though the printed lyrics definitely say "うねいと弓ないの汀にそそぎ", the lyrics that are actually sung seem to be "うねいと弓ないの渚にそそぎ". That's a difference of one kanji: 渚 instead of 汀. I don't know if this could be a typo or what; I only found this out through lots of trial and error and looking at Google Translate's phonetic romanization of stuff. With any luck, now someone who actually knows Japanese can translate it.
@michelle5for11 жыл бұрын
Could you please take a photo of the lyrics and put up a link to them please? I study Japanese, and understand the lyrics, except for 「うねいと弓ない」 of the sentence 「うねいと弓ないの汀にそそぎ」
