Thank you for your detailed review! I am so torn whether I should buy this oracle deck or not, and your video definitely helps

my tarot deck just came into the mail but I'm not ready to buy the oracle and am going to have to figure out the plants with the help of this video 💞💞 as always thank you with your honest review 😉

If we ever get it figured out I'll be sure to do a video on it! We're going to work our way through the oracle and then see how we can apply that to the tarot!

Ooooh I *just* saw these decks the other day! (As well as L'Oracle des Reflets by Celia Melesville, which I looove. Not botanical in nature, but the staining look is similar, one I'm drawn to) I love botanical decks like this.

I totally get the Belladonna meaning. It's such a beautiful plant in flower & it does have a very beguiling sort of spirit. Also, when it's fruiting...the fruit is very similar to a similar Solanacea plant whose fruit isn't toxic. A very important difference to know. Not that one needs to unless they're into eating wildly...or loves plants. The Anemone meaning didn't resonate with what I have used the plant for. That's why I've been on the fence with this deck. I work with plants extensively & ime, there's a kind of common understanding of plants (example: echinacea is an anti-bacterial) & then there's my personal experience working with the plant with myself & then with others & then there's the expansive meaning of the plant (example: my friend works with this plant in this way let me give it a go & boom! new meaning). So to say I'm particular with plant decks is clear lol. Other than that, I LOVE the look of the deck & I love the focus on plants. So I'll have to think on it some more. Wonderful walkthrough! El-eh-cam-pane :)

I always feel obnoxious when I say how things are pronounced...I don't mean it that way at all.

Loved your comment and how you work with them and I agree about the layers of meanings and while there are some that don't gel with even my short research into the plant, I am fine with touching on the keyword and then just going into what I've learned or experienced with the plant so, so far so good! :D And as for pronunciation, it's not obnoxious at all and I enjoy learning from it even if I forget it the next time I say it!! I TRY :D

I have not had these long and yesterday was a day off for me but after the walkthroughs, while I am really liking both of them, I think this oracle is my favorite of the two!

I came across these images months ago and went "meh". Then the tarot came out and the aesthetic is so nice! But then I saw the cards and went "huh?". Now I am looking at this oracle again :P Watching now :D

Aha! I loved hearing your progression of reactions. I saw the tarot and thought, hm, and then saw the oracle and really wanted it, and then listened to Patrick and got both LOL I still think I love the oracle the most but I haven't worked with them enough to call yet!

On first impression, I would say I might prefer the oracle too :) The guidebook is a bit too "divinatory" for me. The art is elegant and understated, but, I dunno... At this point if I were to buy this, I would be buying it for the box, the design of the back of the cards, and the pretty gilding :/ Or maybe the poetic language too. So, basically, everything, except the front of the cards 0.O So I guess that is a "no" for now. But I am looking forward to your thoughts after you spend more time with both :)

Hear. Hear. Hahaha. But the beautiful language, combined with the aesthetic, and keywords, are very very persuasive.... :)

I really enjoy the language both in the book and in the keywords, other than the Rackham Oracle we don't often find a little bit of "stretch" into language and it's refreshing!

Hyssop will help with those sinus issues (i used it for my own, with rose hips and rose petals tea). Thanks for the vid. Considering this deck...
