Ah the python. I'm really a fan of just two of the pistols. This is one of them. This handgun is very powerful, and makes a solid secondary.

@@pepperachu What I mean by this is that the Python has multiple attachments that are unique to the Python, and each attachment has its own niche, something that can’t always be said for a slew of attachments in Black Ops. Speed Reloader is unique to the Python, and it’s very good in that you don’t need to use Sleight of Hand on the Python when using this attachment, while bringing a consistent reload. The Snub Nose is also unique to the Python. It isn’t good in Core game types, but it has no downsides in Hardcore game types and makes the Python more effective there through superior accuracy. The Python is the only pistol that can use the ACOG Scope, and while the ACOG Scope is usually a bad attachment due to it lowering your centerspeed and making it take longer to aim down the sight, it works much differently on the Python. Centerspeed isn’t adjusted, and the ACOG Scope, for some reason, heavily increases the Python’s two shot kill range. It leans into the power advantage the Python has over the other pistols. Last, Dual Wield is certainly not unique to the Python, but it has funny quirks on the Python, namely that the Dual Wield Python basically has the Speed Reloader attachment built into it. The Python’s immense power makes Dual Wield Pythons very scary to fight in CQC. Each attachment the Python has can make it better in certain situations, on top of a couple of them being wholly unique. Uniqueness is an aspect that few weapons in Black Ops have, as the game is notorious for having weapons having very similar stats to one another, but the Python stands out as extremely unique, both through stat design and attachment selection and effects.

true, unfortunately that is completely true, i kinda wished that they had made the lightweight perk like they did in black ops, so that it wouldn't give the fall damage

The Dual Pythons are to me, a shotgun. If you are close to me, you are dead. I only use them as a shotgun and they never let me down. One bad thing is the lack of ammo. It takes me 1-3 pulls to kill. That means I can get about 4-6 close range kills.

Snub-nose would be worth it if the 40-damage stretched out much further or was a flat 40-damage the entire range, like a 6-shot light-machine-gun. That would fit with the more controllable recoil, a fitting side-arm for shotgunners who NEED extra range.

Failarch doesn't understand weapons ballistics at all, shortening the barrel of the Python would do the opposite of ingame, it would decrease the accuracy, as the bullet has less time to spin and increase the stopping power, as there is less friction force acting against the thrust.

dual wield doesn't give you a speed reloader, it makes the reloads quicker, just like most dual wield guns.

I believe the Akimbo Pythons are a good choice on any class just like the Python w/ Speed Reloader since the Akimbo version has built in speed reloaders for both pistols. I know you could see that in the footage but it would of been a pretty nice little detail to add to the review.

All revolvers are never semi-auto, they work in the same function, but revolvers are either single action (cock hammer manually), or double action (manual or cock hammer by pulling the trigger)

I like using dual wield with my sniper class and steady aim. If anyone gets close the pythons are deadly its just when they get a little further out does the accuracy suffer. But I can't count the number of times the dual pythons have saved my butt and it can handle multiple enemies fairly well if they decide to rush you.

No it's not. ".357 Magnum" is the name of a type of cartridge. "Colt Python" is the name of the firearm. It's just called the "Python" as "Colt" is a trademark and using it *may* causes legal problems.

Read up on copyright law, or for that matter, the american law system in general before you jump to conclusions. To actually be guilty of criminal copyright infringement, you need to have made a serious chunk of change against the copyright owners will. If you made a copy of someone's work and sold it, that's illegal. KZbin doesn't do that.

Well these weapons were manufactured during the cold war era, so I wouldn't expect them to shoot .50 caliber bullets and holding over 10 rounds by default. I do understand that going pistol only is a challenging thing to do in this game, but I'm just saying.

+Stealthygunner X The problem is, pistols bar the Python are almost always outperformed by other weapons in Black Ops, and aren't competitive. In Modern Warfare 2, the pistols also had stiff competition, but they were very competitive, and gave plenty of reasons to use them. In Black Ops? You're pretty much only using a pistol if: 1. Your primary weapon constantly puts you in bad situations 2. You honestly want a challenge 3. You want to use the Python 4. nostalgia/you're a fan of said pistol 5. Easy specialist contracts That's the bare minimum if you ask me. In Modern Warfare 2, pistols were extremely competitive and oftentimes gave SMG's and Machine Pistols a run for their money. The USP .45 and M9 had large magazines and strong bullets over range, whereas the .44 Magnum and the Desert Eagle had brutalizing power up close that many weapons would be troubled to compete with, as well as good damage over range (but had poor accuracy and not a lot of ammo). They could also be used for any of the above reasons bar reasons #3 and 5. SMG's and Machine Pistols mostly favored accuracy, making them easier to use, but with less merit and reward compared to a pistol. In Black Ops, there is almost no reason whatsoever to favor pistols bar the Python over any SMG from a statistical standpoint. You're simply challenging yourself and nothing more. Your maximum damage range with all of the pistols (bar the ACOG Scope Python) is the worst in the game, and pistols are mostly dealing diminished and laughable damage at fifteen meters, a range where all SMG's bar the Skorpion can still deal maximum damage. Mind you, SMG's already fire faster than the fastest trigger finger possible for a pistol.

weakestlink20 I think in black ops that's there's 3 pistols you should definitely equip:The ASP (since it has quick handling), The Python (since it has high damage and is a "challenge" weapon", and the CZ-75 since its basically statistically superior to the makarov and the M1911. I honestly don't play black ops much anymore because I've ran into many hacked lobbies and I'm tired of some kid running around with god mode. I might play MW3, but black ops isn't making me as happy as it used to.

Stealthygunner X There is point to the ASP and the CZ-75, but you're probably not going to use those over an SMG as your main weapon of choice. In MW2, if you were feeling adventurous, you could do so without much penalty.
