Dear Atul, Initially I wrongly put semi colon as I was in the habit of c/C++/java programming. Later on I ignored it. However, putting semi colon is just a mark of end of statement. But in python it is not required(however if you give, it will not show error. So, far as colon sign is concerned, it is always used when you have to write some statements inside some given condition/block.

Sir I think that this code has wrong calculation of discount because when you enter unit as 200 the bill is 1000rs and after discount it must be 900rs but this code shows bill as 990rs which is 1% not 10%
