Minecraft Skyblock - Ever seen a Minecraft trail ruin in a Skyblock world?! Nah, me neither until today! Turns out there's tonnes of useful resources like dirt, gravel and spruce trees. It turns out, however, that Minecraft's doing everything in its power to stop me making progress... scary thunderstorms in particular!

I’m not sure how long you’ve played the game. But would you ever think about doing a small Minecraft alpha series? I think that would be so cool to watch! To see how you would build things without the old limited amount of resources’

Python, idk know if it works on skyblock or java but you can get dirt from moss. If you end up exploring around, and find some and a spruce tree, you can plant a 2×2 spruce tree on the moss. when it grows it will turn to podzol and you can turn that to dirt. At least, it works on bedrock so idk but its something to try. Love the series so far. I commented before you saw the trail ruin spruce tree lol.

Yeah, I can confirm that the moss to podzol using spruce works in Java. There's also another way to get more dirt when you don't have moss or spruce, and that's to get gravel from piglin bartering, mix with dirt to make coarse dirt, then hoe the coarse dirt into dirt. So there are options. Edit: Ah, you bring up this method just a little later in the video.

hi phython actually u can make a mob platform on the top and try to find enderman so you can trap him on the boat and make him pick up grass block. after you kill him u got grass block its more fast way than waiting grass to spread

Dirt is renewable if you have a steady supply of gravel. Using gravel you can craft coarse dirt, which you can then till to convert to dirt.

Or you can buy podzol from the wandering trader. Just break it without silk touch.

@@brokenstarfury4895 Wandering traders don't have an infinite supply of podzol. Meaning you would need to be lucky to get a lot of them that sell it. Making it not a very renewable way to get dirt.

Actually dirt is renewable at the cost of gravel. 2x Gravel and 2x Dirt crafted into coarse dirt then hoed back into dirt. This is something I usually forget so I forced myself to remember it lol. As always, love the content! Best of luck 😊

But if you run out of gravel, you can't make any more dirt, thus technically dirt is finite, thus not fully renewable, which is what I was alluding to in the vid. It's only renewable to an extent 😀 Appreciate the kind words and support as always though, thank you 😀

The dirt is renewable. Use dirt and gravel to make coarse dirt, place down and make it farmland. And trade with piglins to get gravel. Bada bing bada boom. Infinite dirt. Ive watched all of your minecraft, terraria, and ark series. Love the content and im sad your quitting Terraria.

Fun fact- it is after 1.17 you can buy moss from a wandering trader and get a decent amount of it then make an area with moss block then grow a 4 by 4 spruce tree then let it grow or bonemeal it then all the moss will turn into podzol and can be dig for dirt.!

The waiting for the spreading of grass is certainly a frustrating time. Getting animals to spawn is crucial for my future plans, specifically sheep for carpets for an eventual hostile mob farm! 😀
