@@cdclemWell it’s not Eva’s fault she volunteered and therefore you should blame zero for starting the clone project , without Eva solid snake and liquid snake would have been born anyways from a different women who volunteered and also worked with the patriots/cipher. Eva giving birth to solid and liquid was a logical choice since Big boss had a relationship with Eva so it would be more humane.

Kojima talked about how his father’s passing when he was young impacted him always writing about conflicts between fathers and sons, but after hearing him talk about how supportive and loving his mother always was I noticed he always seems to also write “motherly” characters sometimes who are either very loving like Eva in 4 or like Olga betraying her army and giving her life just for her child, or someone like The Boss who is this strong and incredible war hero who made countless sacrifices, who also happens to be a mother. I feel like these character were influenced by Kojima’s love and respect for his mom in a way.

While completing David's story, his journey, through wars, sadness, devastation, isolation and death, while sticking with him to the end, helping him to save an ungrateful world one more time, I jumped in all that pain with him, thanking him for his being a hero at every single step.

Replaying MGS1 on steam now for the first time in nearly 15 years. I still remember where all the items were all this time later due to how much I played it as a kid, its just burned into my memory. Still holds up to this day, blows pretty much every other PS1 game out of the water, with maybe the exception of ff7. Going to play through MGS2 and 3 now, both available on steam.

That part when I experienced it I felt like a accomplishing a wonderful moment for Snake. It meant a lot to complete the story. I felt that Hideo Kojima needed to finish David’s story on a high note of hope in between the tragedy of it ending with redemption.

It does, but it kind of doesn't make much sense. David and Eli are two different people in the Bible, but it's accepted King David was basically Jesus' father. I think in a way Raiden is supposed to symbolize Jesus, because he awakens to the truth, tries to get people to understand what is happening (Sam, Senator Armstrong), basically dies and comes back to life - couple this with the idea of "Rosemary's baby" as a plot point
