It's actually a quite simple explanation. You can't really do it yourself, though it might be situational. It REALLY depends on the cooldown of your Q. So yes, usually has to be with another ally's knockup. Also, yes, EQ-R is pretty simple, however, doing the Q-R will result in a usually better outcome, because it will make the enemy that you're ulting still be able to use E on them + you will have 1 extra Q stack (aka, you will just need to Q one more time instead of twice in order to get your knockup) The way he does it is, if you try slowing down the video in all of the instances he does it, he moves his cursor to the correct initial position for his Q, and then while its casting, move the cursor INSTANTLY to the enemy you are trying to Ult as the ally (or self) knockup happens so the game recognizes who you're trying to ult. Because as it's known, Yasuo's ultimate depends on your cursors position. It won't just ult anything that is getting knocked up. You can try this out in Practice Tool and get the hang of it. It's REALLY easily doable in games and it's an amazing thing to learn.

if you are in practice tool, you need to have cooldowns refresh, because you can't really QR off your own Q3 unless it's like max range. When you R, you appear behind them. You need to aim Q behind yourself at the right angle and flick mouse back so you can R

this only works when another ally knocks them up, you cant knock them up and then q-ult.

Because it actually q's during the ultimate, and since you always get behind the enemy (except the tower range rule), you have to q backwards for it to hit

As far as i know the knockup has to be any other than your own, so for example malphs ult, you q behind you and ult the person, it does damage and stacks ur q

Completely dissagree, Yasuo is way better and has been for most of the past year, it has like 1.5% higher winrate across all elos while being harder to play, he said it himself, tierlists are putting him above Yone, and for a reason
