A question for your next Q&A : Why on earth does your channel have so few subscribtions and likes? I just discovered it today and must say I truly love your mindset, thou "citizen scientist". Greetings from the Netherlands. Subscribed!

I appreciate the kinds words and thought, but I will answer this for you directly. I do not have enough content up yet. I really lost a lot this year. Had some great projects in the works but as I was saying in the Q&A, between the air pollution and now an epidemic outbreak of Dengue fever, it has been a terrible loss for me in both time in the garden and content to share with all of you. That being said, I am happy you found me, and welcome!

@@NorthernThaiGardenGuy Thank you, I'll be binge watching. I'm sorry for your circumstances, sir. You seem like a well grounded person, that should help. First things first, just keep posting at your own pace. Be well. ps: I did a PDC with Matt Powers with a design me and my brother made for his 1 acre foodforest in Andalucia. I share your high regards for him, that absurdly optimistic man 😊.

Hi! I’m so sorry you’re having a rough year. At least with Covid we were able to garden! But staying safe and healthy trumps everything 😊. I mainly want to say thank you to you and Tee for the spark you both gave me to start what I call Indoor Table Top Pre-Composting to make worm bedding. You two were the genesis of what it became for me. I tweaked the process Tee showed on your video, using only shredded carbon (mostly cardboard), coffee grounds (that many Starbucks here in the States give away for free) and the vegetable slurry Tee showed. If I want a 2nd heat boost I use activated dried yeast instead of the cultured milk product she used. I mix the pre-compost half and half with sifted cow manure for red wiggler bedding. About 850 breeder adults turn 3 gallons of this bedding into over 2,500 cocoons and 3 gallons of castings in the 21 day breeding cycle! It’s amazing!! I just hit 1k subscribers a few days ago and quite a few of them have started making pre-compost too, generally following my ‘recipe’. They are sparking off the spark I got from you! I will be making another pre-composting video soon and I’ll give you a shout out ❤. Maybe it’ll help you reach 1K subscribers too 😊. I did subscribe to your channel a little while ago and I look forward to more videos from you. Take care! Jayne

@@NorthernThaiGardenGuy You’ve reached more than 1! It’s the ‘tell one person, they tell 2 people, those people each tell 2 people, etc’ thing in action 🤗. I’m in David the Good’s general part of Florida. I haven’t been able to try Biochar yet but am using his stinky swamp water recipe for supplemental garden watering along with the worm castings. The results have been astounding. Seriously shocking how much healthier and productive the plants have been. Are you able to store rain water for later use during the dry season? For the biochar disruption between mycorrhizal fungi and plants, would that happen mainly during the rainy or dry season? Wondering if it could be used seasonally where you are…?
